  • I am soooo far behind you lovely lot. Gosh, so many great losses, and everyone keeps on going!

Manic, manic, manic in my house, no sleep over the weekend, so I turned to sugar :( flipping comfort eating. Honestly, can do with out it. :D

I hope all is not lost for the WI on Sunday.

Hope you all had great birthdays, and enjoyed everything, including the food you don't normally have. :bdaycake:<-Look syn free cake :D

Generally I don't have issues with the plan myself, it's simple enough, more so not having a social life and a heck of a school walk. Though I do get a bottle of wine or beer in to enjoy sometimes. Biggest problem I have is keeping up with all you chatterboxes!

It's easy to fall out the habit though, like I did. SO I am making more of an effort to come here and catch up, it helps keep me focused without a "real in person" group.

Does anybody else have to work REALLY hard to lose anything. I've lost a pound this week but in order to do that I have worked so hard. When I went to group people could lose 4, 5 6 plus pounds a week easily. Not me, most I ever lost was 2.

To lose a pound I have had to have no syns, walked 18 miles in the week, done a session of yoga and some gardening. In addition I never drink alcohol, take sugar, never eat crisps or biscuits, don't eat bread and pastry.

It is SO hard. I am going out tonight with a large group of women and they'll all be having wine, cappuccino or hot chocolates and I'll be on my lovely diet coke!!!

Pennylane, you have yourself a wine and cake. Let your body have some calories. One of the BIGGEST mistakes I made, and the whole reason it went wrong for me last time was I stopped having syns to increase the losses when those big losses stopped and it turned into 1/2 lbs every other week. Instead, body went in to storage mode and refused to let go of anything. Enjoy yourself once in a while. I got to focused on the loss, rather than the reason why I was doing what I was doing.

Glad Latana has finally found a pair of britches... that was worrying me ;)

& that you have some new knickers :j :j

Been away for a family get together.
    Was great to catch up.
    Eating out the window.
Also  as I had to use wheelchair part of the time when I was away.

"Away" is supposed to be about eating off plan, if you ask me, and Beanie, you are always a ray of sunshine for everyone else here, don't let the fact that you had to sit down and glide about the place make you unhappy. It doesn't make you less of a person.

    Evening all,

Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of days again, but I had to do something called 'working'?! What's that all about? Anyhoo, I've just had a quick skim-read of the last 5 pages, and just about caught up.

    Maman - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Well done for the losses, and stick with hit anyone who's not had the results they would have liked.

I can't remember if I updated after WI Shala, but this week I had a -1lb loss (week 2)

Well today I seemed to have some kind of major memory problem. I was busy working away baking cakes, and then a friend dropped by for a cuppa, and stayed a couple of hours. After she went I was absolutely starving, and thought, blimey! I've not eaten anything all day I've been so busy. So then I had a nice wholemeal bread sandwich, thinking I'll have a red day today, and have two HeB's, with turkey and cucumber filling. After that I remembered I'd actually had some shredded wheat for breakfast! How stupid can you get?

So, today's plan is a bit of a b@lls up, but it's still a Red day (I think)!

B - Shredded wheat (heb) + 4 syns, milk (heA)
L - 2 slices wholemeal (heb2), 6.5 syns, turkey slices, cucumber. Mullerlight, banana.
D - Beef casserole, 3 new potatoes (4 syns), onions, carrots, cauliflower, and 2 syns for the gravy. Danio yogurt 1.5 syns

Just about scraped by there with 18 syns *sighs*

So the curly wurly's are definitely staying put in the freezer!!

    Promise to try harder tomorrow.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

    Evening all.

Mildredd - i count everything (polishes very dirty halo) because if I had the "doesn't count after WI" approach, I'd be in big trouble - I WI first thing in the morning, so I'd have a whole day of eating - oh, wait a mo, that sounds like a good idea ..... oh, that's right, I do! That's what happened yesterday!

    Happy birthday. maman :)

I like that cake, swiper, how thoughtful of you ;)

    review of Wednesday's plan
    Breakfast: mackerel on hexb toast
Lunch: chicken couscous salad with red onion, chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, red peppers, followed by 2 clementines
Dinner: pork, egg & veg fried rice (SW mag - 0.5) including red and orange peppers, carrots, spring onions, plus a Hartleys 10 jelly
Snacks: 1 Graze summer berry flapjack (4), 2 cream crackers (4) with hexa laughing cow light and tomatoes, banana

    Total: 9 syns :)

    Thursday's plan
Breakfast: poached eggs on hexb toast
Lunch: beany jacket & salad, yogurt
Dinner: fish pie, green beans followed by fruit salad

    Good luck everyone.

Mrs Ryan – Go you all good things happening for you! Very exciting. Really pleased for you. :T
Beanie – Thanks yes I don’t think I’ll ever accept the fact that I’m in Size 12 knickers!!
Swipernoswiping - think it was about to worry the nation lol:eek: Just Size 12 trousers I need to buy now – but hey at least if the trousers fall down there will be Size 12 knickers underneath – whereas last week it all would have been falling down lol.
I agree Mildredd – it will be soon 4.7 soon – sometimes I didn’t think I’d ever see that 5 stone and somehow I’ve gotten up and over it!! Will be your turn soon chum!! :j
Seabee - very true about the little victories – I have a belly apron as well and it depresses the life out of me. Although I am starting to see small changes in it since I have started at the gym but I dread to think about how it is going to end up in the end! It is not one bit pretty!!
Helendavekids – I stopped drinking wine as well when I joined SW and changed to gin. Think I’ve had wine on 3 occasions over the last 11 months – personally I think that’s been a big help to my weightloss!! I don't miss wine now at all.
This time next month – I’ll be doing SW for a year!! Can’t believe it. Can’t believe I’ve stuck at it this long. It wasn’t that long after I started that I found you lovely people on here as well and you have all helped and encouraged me so much so thank you! :T So to anybody starting now – it can be done – when I started I definitely didn’t see myself here a year later almost 5 .7 stone down!! perseverance is key good days and bad - and trust me I have plenty of bad days :rotfl: - incidents with crisps and Chinese takeaway and the like lol :rotfl:
Lucky legs – that sounds like a great food haul – I love calamari. Well you know what to do -you had time of plan and you enjoyed it. NOW TIME TO GET BACK ON IT!!

So apart from the beginnings of the cold, and being very stiff from my class on Monday night I am ticketyboo today!! Lol
Thank goodness its Thursday anyway!! There could be a treat of some sort tonight after wi. Funny feeling it will be a sts – but I’m ok with that as I’m sticking to the plan and going to the gym – so I know it will come off eventually as it always does. My body just behaves strangely at times!!
Need to increase my fluids as feeling very dehydrated since I joined the gym, touch of constipation this week and my skin is very dry! Went up last night and did an hour of brisk walking on the treadmill and 20 mins on the bike – very pleased with myself lol

Morning folks. Have woken up absolutely exhausted this morning so am back in bed with a cup of tea. First shift at the new job tonight, typical!!

In regards to the discussion about measurements, I didn't take mine at the start but really wish I had for weeks like * week when you know things aren't going to go your way!! The friend that I go walking with most days is doing this 100 Happy Days thing on Facebook so what I've decided to do is get her to take my pic every day that we go for a walk. Hopefully there will be a marked improvement between day 1 and day 100 and the changes that I can actually see will be what keeps me motivated.

I've tried to catch up with everyone else this morning but I'm just too knackered. Could murder some toast for breakfast but theres no bread and I'm not going anywhere this morning (phew) so dodged a bullet cos I'm thinking white bread and loads of butter!!

    Today is green for me....

B: Weetabix, milk and banana (HEXA and B)
    L: 2 x mugshots and fruit, 2x Hifi bars (HEXB2)
D: SF curry with sf veg, drop of coconut milk (no idea of syns will work out later) uncle bens rice (2) healthy choices naan (8)

Hope everyone has a fab day xxxx
