    Mornin All

Happy Anniversary Kyle! Well done Jockettuk on the wight loss.

Well, pouring with rain again, will it ever dry up? Where's this heatwave we were promised?!! Got to do something with my hair colour today, it's looking brassy and grey at the same time. Got my Step-son's wedding next weekend, so must do it today.

DS had his school Prom last night! Seven gorgeous 15/16 year olds turned up at my house. I'd bought 4 bottles of sparkling Perry for them, which they drank in half an hour! Looking good in their DJ's and suits, they then all went out into a white stretched limo for the evening. DS came home at 12 exhausted. I think it's a lovely idea, I wish we'd had them when I was at school!:T

Penelope Penguin can I come and see your chicks? I've always wanted chickens, but never got round to it, maybe when I retire?!

Anyway, have a good day all, despite the rain:rotfl:

    Morning all

Weather's awful here this morning, glad I don't have to go out in it.

    Happybirthday Dogrose
Happy Anniversary Kyle and DH

Hugs to the rest of you who want one.

Just saw in my bank account that my tax credits have gone down by £11 a week - was better than I thought and quite workable.

Going to have a quiet day with my sewing today, DD2 is snuggled up on the sofa watching a film, she's still not 100% bless her.

Dinner this evening with be a hotchpotch - got a couple of portions of things in the freezer that need using.

A quiet weekend planned, weathers supposed to be bad still so might drag DH into the loft to help me sort out stuff for a bootfair when the weathers better...either that or he can help me paint our bedroom, I've got 10lts of white paint that someone gave me, a couple of half tins of lilac and some deep abuergine colour so will see what I can mix up.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Morning All,

Congrats, hugs and Happy Birthdays as appropriate!

Slow start to today. PsychoKitty was CalmKitty last night and hasn't really woken up for long today. Quite strange but he seems healthy, so I'm making the most of it! No 1 BoyCat finally jumped back on the bed again, and slept with me for a while. He decided when he was 5 weeks old that I was his human, and his place was to sleep with me, but his nose has been out of joint since PK joined the household, so I'm quite pleased to be back in the good books. PK of course, just wants to idolise BoyCat!

Well I moved most of my containers and the bedding plants to fill them into the house last night to replant in the dry whilst "watching" tv, then didn't do it. Net result - the kitchen floor (all of 6ft by 4ft) is full of plantstuff this morning and I have to get it all sorted by the time OH comes home tonight or he won't be able to get in the house. So I guess that's what I'm doing! Add that to loads of washing, and hoovering AND needing to go to lottie to water greenhouse and I'll be busy. Wish I was feeling on top form!

Was thinking of joining the 20 week challenge on here. After all, 20 weeks seems a perfectly reasonable time to change things! Well it did in yesterdays sunshine, but after a bad nights sleep and with grey weather - not so sure now.:rotfl: Have a good one folks!

    Morning all.................................
    CONGRATULATIONS
    To Kyle and anyone else who is celebrating today......:T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T

A dullish morning, not raining yet. Today is flat cleaning day. Bathroom is done and OH is attacking the kitchen right now, so the sitting room and bedroom to dust and the whole apartment hoovered.....housework done!!!

Off to see my friend this afternoon, just watching the unfolding news on TV. Roz: sorry to hear about your flood experience, but the loss of food is little compared to those who have lost everything and have no insurance.  There was a lady on TV last night who had 4 children, her house was flooded and she had no insurance........a very bleak future for her.  I must say though in this day and age why someone should think that house insurance is a non essential, I would happily go without to make sure my house contents were covered. Our cover including accidental damage is £72 a year.

Right off now to have a coffee and the dust and hoover the apartment.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

I agree csarina, why would anybody not insure their home and its contents? I've always had insurance, ever since I was on quite a low income, and never claimed on it... but the peace of mind is worth the expense.
