A default wont wipe them out. It will still be there and then you have bad credit and still the bills.

Who cares about bad credit? It is pretty easy to be on benefits and never pay your debts back.

Are you asserting that those who choose to live on benefits are living in poverty?

Irrelevant really, one could default on those and wipe them out, and be left with just their benefits.

We are talking about whether those who choose not to seek work are living in poverty. They are not.

The key word is poverty, true poverty, not economic inequality.

Of course people are still living in poverty many people have to choose between heating and eating.

  • About paying debts back, how are the banks doing? I'm surprised you aren't more vocal about how much we have been ripped off by these large institutions. Not double standards is it Denning?

Who cares about bad credit? I think lots of people do as I don't have a bad credit rating but would for SIX YEARS if I miss a payment.

I don't chose to 'live' on benefits.

    Only if they're in debt.

Yes but for who might, lots do not. Its like when the wp boasts how many they have got into work, they dont say how ,any they dont.

With that attitude there is no chance. For those who grasp every opportunity with both hands instead of whinging like an opportunity is an obstacle, you may not get a job at the end of it, but you may find yourself in pole position for any upcoming vacancy and earn glowing reference to boot.
