You're doing a cracking job at proving this government right that some people truly do want something for nothing .

People such as the OP do pose an interesting question; what does a society such as ours do with people who simply refuse to contribute? We can't let them starve, or freeze to death, but it's not morally right to expect others to keep supporting them year after year.

I don't suppose that there is any answer, in truth.

We can and should let them starve and freeze to death. Otherwise the system collapses and those in genuine need, the sick and the disabled, will die.

So, who deserves to live and who would you select to die? What would your criteria be? Would you accept the odd ´mistake´ as a risk you would be willing to take?

I despair of my fellow humans sometimes, I really do. Willing to let someone starve to death on the premise that they wont work again? Really?

Well ultimately I'm all for there being a limit to what is acceptable & frankly 3 years is beyond the scope of what's believable! In 3 years I've been sacked and still managed to find a further 2 jobs, it wasn't easy & I was unemployed for a long time (although for the vast majority of that not claiming any benefits), but it shows there are jobs there. What OP consistently does though is antagonise & ultimately get himself into trouble because of his inability to act in a professional manner. That's made him every bit as unemployable as someone walking around with a giant penis tattooed on their forehead - only he doesn't seem to understand why no one will employ him.

I have sympathy for anyone who's on JSA who genuinely wants to work and is frankly busting their backside to get off JSA - but those who simply bemoan things & do nothing, well that's just an annoyance. Heck he even showed his utter idiocy yesterday when he had to ask if he should be following up applications, something which I'd have thought would be a given!

Ultimately the majority of us have difficulty more with the quandry - is gay_guy for real or is he just a troll, either way it goes, he's someone who could arguably do with the harsh realities of unemployment prior to the wellfare system! (One could suggest even do with National Service - but I get the feeling he'd enjoy being around a bunch of strapping young men in uniform)

No, I would let someone starve to death because they choose to do so.

So you are saying it is fine for those who choose not to work, who choose not to seek work, who choose not to do anything to provide for themselves to continue to receive a living from others? Didn't think so.

I actually think that if you are 3 years unemployed, you need to start looking at options. I cant say I think people working for their benefit is the greatest idea, others might disagree. Ive been unemployed myself a few times, but you try and make yourself more employable, do voluntary work, retrain, consider starting your own business. Ive done all of that rather than sit on JSA. Yes its a PITA getting 71 quid a week and its getting tougher for people on the dole, sanctions etc

But the OP strikes me, the posts are just looking for things to complain about. The post that was deleted re the course he was on, all the comments about his sexy tutor, it was like reading something that Adrian Mole would have written. (diary of someone who was 13 and 3/4 if people cant remember it). Cringe worthy.

There comes a time when you need to stop the poor me Im being discriminated against act, get your finger out and actually do something with your life, no matter how tough it gets.

Well this is the thing isn't it. Do I really object to £70 being given to a layabout who finds any excuse possible not to work? No - because living on JSA is not life - it's an existence and my tax bill will be the same regardless. If someone wants to exist on JSA for the rest if their lives - I'd rather that than see them on the streets committing crime or dying in the gutter. Why? Because I'm a decent human being and I'd rather show mercy thanks.
  • And this GG is why you are unemployable your attitude on your posts stinks, it wouldn't surprise me if your like this in the workplace too and no employer will put up with it for long

See, I care about the sick and disabled rather than the lazy and idle. Different priorities I guess.
  • OP, have you had any job at all since leaving education as you seem to have had at least two long periods of unemployment whilst only in your early twenties?
