Ruby, yes some of their stuff is useless and their forums are a force to be reckoned with by some of what I've read... I don't actually use their website really, it was just because I was offered the tickets for free.
Waiting for DH to wake up and we can get started on painting the nursery today. Am hoping the wall stickers arrive this week so we can get it all finished and put back together before the in-laws arrive on Friday for baby shower on Saturday.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekendBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I've just read that there are 3/4 hospitals still with parking charges, very unfair when they were abolished at all the others!
Totally agree! I go to stobhill for my midwife appointments and spend a lot of time at the beatson with my dad and parking is free at both. I guess it's because the Royal is in the city centre and no doubt they'd have people taking advantage if it was free. I don't even think they do any kind of patient discount though which would be helpful!0 -
She's definitely feeling ready for the baby. Hope he arrives soon.
I've had a bad cold for the last few days. My left ear finally opened a few minutes ago so I can hear normally again - at least on one side!
Luckily OH seems to have escaped it. Been a nasty one. Has stopped me getting on with finishing off the extension this weekend.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Hope baby doesn't leave you waiting too much longer Freddie.
I remember the last week seemed to go so slowly as I was just so desperate for my little one to arrive, luckily he was a good boy and arrived on time.
Oh still has another week off work so hopefully we can make the.most of lots of time together. On his first day back at work next week he is local so has already said he is popping home at lunchtime!!0 -
I cannot believe how much hospital parking rates differ! We have two local hospitals and we've always been told by both to just pay the minimum, as long as there is a ticket showing there's no problem. My concern is the lack of spaces! Not once have we been able to get parked in the women and children's hospital so I'm already a bit worried about what would happen if we needed to get in quickly, think the car would end up abandoned in the middle of the road!
We had a 4D scan this weekend. We wasn't going to bother but I'm so glad we did. They gave us 70 photos of baby and 5 videos too, I can't stop looking at them!0 -

Pink you must be fairly close to meWe park on a street behind the Royal (not sure what it's called!) for visiting /appointments, you still have to pay, but only before 6pm(?) and it's not as much as the multistory I don't think and don't think you have to pay at weekends. Still a bit of walk though if your were in labour!!
My sister in law is due in the next few weeks and she is going to enquire about parking and if they can get a discounted pass for a few days etc.0 -

Small world! I know the street you mean, my mum worked at the Royal many moons ago and told us about it before my last scan but there were no spaces. Always worth a try though!0 -
Oh gosh, hospital parking, another thing I hadn't contemplated!! Best add to my list haha!
Hope everyone is well - nothing to report here, 25 weeks and feeling good, just enjoying the energy bit as long as I have it. Got a growth scan next week due to BMI (they didn't measure me at 25 week midwife just said they'd rather do the scan as more accurate) so looking forward to seeing him again xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -
Aw lucky you having another scan Manc! Will be fab to see your little man again! I'm 26 weeks now and have nothing to report either...I'm jealous you have energy though, I have zero! I'm finding it really difficult to sleep just now...I can't get comfy and this wee lady seems to like to kick from 10.30pm right through til morning. Add the constant waking up to pee and it doesn't make for a restful sleep!
On the plus side, I got my maternity leave sorted. I'm having 10 months off and OH is having two months (we're doing the shared thing) but he's having one month at the start and one at the end so we'll be off together. So happy it's all approved! Not decided exactly what date I'm finishing as I'm planning to use annual leave for the first couple of weeks but will see how I feel closer to the time!0 -
Has anyone had a flu jab?
The earliest OH could get an appointment is on the due date.
So obviously she'll only be able to get it if he's late. He also won't get any direct benefit from it - as it takes a week at least to develop antibodies.
Although if she is resistant to it - she's less likely to catch it and pass it on. Biggest risk is probably from me though anyway as I work in a school.
See she missed flu season because by the time we knew she was pregnant it was spring. They're only just starting to offer them around here now and it's very late in the pregnancy.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
