Massive congratulations boatgirl, I'm so happy for you both xxx
35 weeks tomorrow and really feeling it now. Had to have a second gestational diabetes test last week and they called me at 6pm on Friday to tell me I've just tested positive (needed to be below 7.7 and my result was 7.9). Not the end of the world but I've got to join the diabetes clinic for diet education on Thursday morning, followed by a scan and consultant appt where our birth options will be discussed.
Realistically, I think we are going to have to consider a planned c-section so I'm trying to prepare for it rather than ignore the fact. With the diabetes and anti phospholipid syndrome, I'm at increased risk of pre eclampsia and still birth so we have to do what's safest for both her and me.
My legs and ankles are enormous now - really suffering with swelling, oh my goodness, they're big.
Ended up in hospital yesterday morning for monitoring as she was being very quiet and I hadnt felt her much but once we got there, she livened up so all ok.
8 working days left but I'm an NCT antenatal class for breastfeeding on Tuesday morning and in the hospital for all the diabetes stuff of Thursday so will only be at work for about 2.5-3 days this week.
My maternity cover starts tomorrow so I've got to start training her up - am very ready to give up work now.
Gosh, that was a long update - oops!

Tata - whats the pain like in your hip? They can manipulate joints so well. My pelvic joint was out of place and they painlessly wriggled it back in.
ThinkPink - my baby did that around 30 weeks would be quieter in the day and really wriggly in the night. Any concerns, ring up they ALWAYS take you seriously. I rang and said I had had movement but was worried as it was much quieter and they put me on the CTG for an hour to check it out.
Flutter - I am weeing small amounts more frequently but definitely baby on bladder. If you don't feel well in general get checked, I had that feeling once and it was a kidney infection (totally different circumstances though).
Gelly - great that they have found it so quickly and can hopefully manage it very easily. Also only 2 weeks until you are full term so at least not long before they will start thinking about a plan for you xx Happy to answer any questions you might have about c-section though I have only had EMCS but by the time you deliver I will probably have had an ELCS too!
Euro - I was gobsmacked when midwife said baby was fully engaged because although I've had a lot more pressure recently,I didn't feel like that at all. I had so much movement one day I swore it had gone breech but apparently not! I'm not doing too badly thanks, still not really sunk in that in about 2 weeks there will be a new baby in the house! Psyching myself up if I have an ELCS and actually thinking about what I'm meant to do if I end up as a VBAC i.e. breathing etc!0 -
I am not feeling great today, bladder is really irritated, glad I have GP later. I'm really moody too
. I almost didn't come to work but thought I'm not actually ill so I'll go, and the bloody electricity has been going off and on all morning as they are testing a generator so I've not got any work done anyways! Meh. Excuse the grump! x

You're entitled to be grumpy when you're not feeling good! Hugs xx

I'm only 33 weeks so have 3 weeks left in work, finishing at 36+2 as taking a few days leave before ML starts at 37 weeks. I am only doing 4 day weeks now though. But if I feel like this tomorrow I won't be going in!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Moneypenny, the pain is persistent and usually worse after a night of sleep. My osteopath is fab, he's really nice so I'm hoping this is just pregnancy related!

Yay euro that's brilliant news about baby engaging, I'm hoping mine is still head down, he was starting to engage at my 38 week appointment and my next one is on Thursday (40 week) so we shall see...fingers crossed he is here soon I have never been so uncomfortable.
Freaking out a bit as well at the moment as the main road (that we would need to use to the hospital and runs through Manchester City Centre) is closed for the next two days, apparently there were tail backs of 2 hours today, really hoping if he comes now it will be at night.
Gelly- Keep those feet up girl, they will hopefully ease up when you have finished work and can keep your feet up a bit more. My mum actually rubbed mine for about an hour yesterday (hubby would NEVER do that, I get 5 mins if I am lucky) and they went right down, I had skinny feet again and no pain!!! they only lasted about 4 hours but it's not the point, they felt and more importantly looked great hehe.Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls

Skint, it'll be ok. The Manc way is being re-opened after a year of being closed tomorrow. So it'll all open back up again. They closed the last lane of it so everyone is taking that alternate way. The second it's open your road will be empty again!
Waiting at the midwife's again. Let's see if this visit is any more use than normal. Guessing no. Forgot my green notes. Useless these days. Can't remember a thing.
She's very wriggly today. Not let me have a second. Love it. And thankfully the acid never came back. So hopefully it's gone and was the iced tea causing it. Husband warned me that tea/iced tea/coffee can cause it and is a trigger for his. So I'll be avoiding it again from now on.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Ladies, can anyone recommend any comfy supporting and not completely hideous shoes? I live in primarni ballet pumps and think I need something more supportive to see me through the next 20 weeks of pregnancy. I have never found any shoes or boots to be comfy for more than a few hours when walking round all day at the best of times!
