I'm in a grump this morning :( I slept well but woke up with painful hips. I'm in working but contemplating taking this afternoon off. I can get all my work done this morning no problems so I'm not needed.

Yep I'm going home lunchtime, not sitting here doing nothing for 4 hours! Boss is fine with it.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge of using a TENS machine during labour? I had an email from Boots about hiring one so am contemplating it.

Plus hayfever is ridiculous at the moment and everytime I sneeze I wee so I am having to wear maternity pads constant!!

Congratulations Pig, she is very cute!

Flutter, I got Ewan, most people seem to rate it and even some said that theirs weren't keen to start with but then really grew to like it, it was bought as part of my baby shower for me but would have got it to try anyway. I also had a tens machine for DD but found it more of a distraction than I did pain relief? Different things work for different people but no harm in trying!

I had a UVB session at hospital yesterday and have massively burnt my face :( I've had to day a day working from home because it's so bad. Madame also had a crazy quiet day yesterday, to the point I was considering calling triage but today shes been much more active!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Pigpen - she is gorgeous!! What a little doll!

FLutter - I had a tens which I borrowed from a friend, found it help to distract me rather than pain relief in the same way jtr mentioned but would use another one again just because any pain distraction is good!
  • Well, all I can say is poo. Stinky, horrible poo.
I thought I'd gotten away with not getting acid. Everyone else seemed to have had it way before the 28 week point, so thought I was lucky and managed to dodge that one, but it started today with a vengeance. I think it's ice tea that triggered it because it happened after drinking it this morning and this evening.
Luckily when we were on holiday I stockpiled at the American pharmacies for a just in case time. I got the high fibre one a day gummy vitamins and I got a 200 bottle of calcium carbonate tablets! So they are now my best friend.
Thought it was too good to be true and I'd skipped all the complaints everyone else was getting. Next thing I bet I end up with it all and have swollen feet, sleepless nights and bad hip pains. So much for her causing no troubles ;)

Oh no ccl, hope the stomach acid isn't too bad. I'm waiting for it to start, I am on daily tablets for excess stomach acid due to a hiatus hernia but from what the gp said as I get bigger I can expect it to cause me some hassle... Great thing to be looking forward to!!

I think I'll be borrowing a tens machine, am willing to try anything that may be a distraction!!

    Hope everyone is well.xx
