(((crazy))) ah nightmare. Hoping you are insured? We had a similar issue when we moved in to our house, the first time I had a bath all the water came through the ceiling :O turns out the person before us hadn't plumbed the bath correctly! We rent, so the landlord arranged the repair. Ceiling had to dry out for a few weeks, then a man came and painted a primer on it which took no more than an hour, then he came back twice to repair and repaint it as the paint needed to dry between coats. Very simple repair, which took no time really. Hopefully yours will be as simple. x* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Thanks. Good to know it hopefully should be quite easy to paint. It's a mess now, all stained. Yes, decent insurance who will cover emergency repairs and anything needed if we want to pay an amount separately and not make a main claim so it doesn't put premiums up. Hoping dad can fix it. He's always the first call when something like this happens. I've certainly never had a clue.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120

Flutterby, your hands being achey can be pregnancy related. My OB said its due to blood pressure and fact you are pumping so much blood at the moment. Couple of minutes wiggling your fingers ever morning and making large 'high 5s' with your hands should help.. I've exactly the same094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Congrats pigpen- so happy for you, another little girl.
Not sure if my waters are trickling or I actually weed myself yesterday (TMI I know, but I'm past caring) its happened twice now and was only a small amount, the thing is my hayfever has come out with a vengeance so I am sneezing a lot hence me wondering if it's wee. Still getting the pains and the braxton hicks are getting more frequent.
Anyone else struggling with the heat? last night was horrendous, we had the fan on full whack and I was still dripping wet, went into the nursery which is a cooler room and it was 27'c, our room was much hotter which is worrying me for when baby is here.
Had my hair, eyebrows, eyelashes tinted yesterday, come on baby I'm ready for you. 39 weeks tomorrow!!!Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls

It has been awfully hot the last 2 nights skint, I wouldn't have survived without a fan and I still tossed and turned all night. So tired today!
Could be either wee or waters! Did it happen when you sneezed? If so, most likely to be wee! I think even the strongest pelvic floor at 39 weeks pregnant is bound to be slightly incontinent during hayfever season!0 -
Ooh crazy.. Just cry.. Then deal with the mess!
I have had 6 units of blood in, bled 4 out and had 2 theatre trips.. I feel like I've been trampled by hippos!!
Thank you all xx

Skint, I'm struggling with heat but just cos it's hotter here. I've AC unit on at all times now but I can't really leave the house during the day - it's just too hot.
Pigpen, hopefully they are just trying to help you manage any pain your in, hoping you get home soon!
I've my osteopath appointment booked now for my hips first thing Sunday morningI'll be having my 34 weeks appointment as well so I'm not sure what we will be doing as I've already went over my birth plan. I'm assuming it's just checking my blood pressure and doc having a wee feel of baby?

Yeah, not coping too well with the heat either. Makes me proper irritable! Keep promising rain and thunderstorms too, but nothing has come of it yet! We had a short shower around lunchtime but then it passed and sun has been out ever since. Baking!
Had midwife today. All good. Baby still head downand sitting at brim of pelvis but not engaged yet. Sigh. Go back next week just to check she's still head down.
Not much else to tell. Hugs to CrazyCatLady and Pigpen xxFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Good baby Euro for staying head down!
Hope you get on OK pigpen xx
I just found the bit in my notes where the birth plan is supposed to be written so I've put a few things in there about Vitamin K, etc. hopefully will run through it with midwife at 38 week appointment because I haven't spoken to her about it yet as I've been VBAC/ELCS dithering!0 -
Thanks Tatabubbly. They are still achey today but not so bad.
Had our 2nd antenatal class tonight. Was better than the first but still not overly informative. Although one thing they said is that you shouldn't swaddle baby due to risk of SIDS...Anyone else heard this?
Also, to answer my question the other day, the health visitor coming before the birth is an English thing, doesn't happen here in Wales.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *
