Glad you made it home pigpen. What's the next step?

Strange pain seems to have gone for now, hope it stays away. Baby been wriggling lots today. I think he's in a strange position though as the movements feel a bit cushioned, band more onward than outward.

Had to take my wedding ring off for a while this morning as my fingers had swollen, May have to try and take it off every night as I don't want it getting proper stuck on!!

    How is everyone today?x
  • Mine are well and truly welded to my fingers now too. Couldn't get them off if I wanted to! Do they make you take them off in the hospital does anyone know? I know for ops you have to, but not sure about for giving birth.

I don't know about natural labour, but the booklet about c-sections they gave me said a wedding band is permitted. All else must be removed x

How are you getting on today Pigpen?

oh wow Flutter thats amazing! The fabric is gorgeous, well done you!

No idea about wedding rings but I wouldn't take anything valuable into hospital with me, just one more thing to think about and I'm scatty!

Try and get them off asap, mine were stuck tight and my mum literally ripped them off my finger (had to bathe in ice and put vaseline on them) I've had a few friends that have had to have them cut off in the end as they couldn't be removed and was stopping circulation.

pig- what a nightmare... hope you are relaxing at home with your feet up now.

Feel like c**p today, not slept the past couple of nights and have the worst pains... just want him out now.

    Wow flutter, that looks great.

I don't plan on taking anything valuable to the hospital with me as I would worry that I'll either lose it or it will get stolen!! If I forget to leave it at home it can go in hubbys wallet for safe keeping.

They will ask you to take off all jewellery section or not.. Often you swell after delivery and the last thing you need is having to get your rings cut off afterwards when taking them off before is easily done.

The theatre beds have a mild current running through them so no metal is advised regardless of what their bumf days.. And it is only an hour or so and you can put it all back on again!!

True story, I swelled up so much my shoes that fit perfectly before birth wouldn't even get on my feet! I ended up going home in slippers...something for you guys to think of maybe?
