Had a slight show this morning and backache on and off all day. But not really doing anything. Thankfully - as the shower broke and poured water through our kitchen ceiling ... and my 3 year old hurt my eye with some serated card/plastic so I spent the afternoon in a&e!

    All eventful here ...

Hoping today is better for you Rebekah!
I've had on/off backache and pains since Friday but still nothing! It feels like baby can't get any lower - literally feels like it's about to fall out of me, especially when driving on bumpy roads!
How's everyone coping with school holidays? It's raining here this morning so I'm going to have to get them out of the house for a couple of hours of they will be driving me up the wall by lunchtime x

Rebekah - fingers cross that things are moving for you!

Missy - I'm loving not having to do school runs. They were really starting to wear me out towards the end. Depending on how punctual baby is I should only have to do a week or so of them on the other side of the holidays and if necessary DH can do some flexi time to help out. Thankfully DD is very easy to entertain and generally quite understanding about what I can and can't manage at the moment!

Katy - My understanding is that with a first baby they tend to engage quite early and then sit there until they're ready. With 2nd + they move in and out of engagement or wait until the last minute. I can't remember what happened with DD. Having said that I was much less clued up about these things then!

33 weeks today and I've been really feeling it the past few days. My bladder had me up 7 times last night between 10pm and 7am!

TMI alert! My bowels have been going crazy too. Normally I'm regular as clockwork once a day. The past few days I've had to go 3-4 times a day.

Getting a bit nervous that these might be signs of early movement but DD was late and I've got no reason to suspect this one will be any different.

Everyone keeps telling me to catch up on rest now, as there will be none once bump pops. Would be fine if I could actually sleep!!

    Morning Ladies

40+2 today, I had pains pretty much all day yesterday, went for 2 walks, went to bed and was in agony, took some paracetomol and pain subsided after about 3 hours. Woke up this morn and bump is half the size!! Hoping baby is now fully engaged and getting ready to exit!! Midwife appt this afternoon so will see, but hoping another walk and some serious ball bouncing will get baby out.

    How is everyone else doing?xx

Missy - how exciting! Hope today is the day for you :)

I'm alright, just taking it easy and not doing very much apart from pottering around the house. Bump is still quite high so don't think baby will make an appearance any time soon.... :)

Missy - fingers crossed that things start moving for you!

Feeling a bit pants at the moment. The last few days I've noticed I've been getting a pressured feeling at the top of my nose between my eyes when I'm sitting or lying in certain positions and it makes me feel dizzy and nauseous. This morning it's been fairly constant regardless of position so rang the midwife for advice. She didn't seem overly concerned but suggested I pop to the doctors to get my blood pressure checked. Did that and blood pressure was all fine! Feeling a bit better now but I'm a bit worried that it's a bad sign.
