Angelmommy wrote: »Aunty-Pickle I had that for 3wks on and off before ds was born. Nipple stimulation worked for me in the end - I'd tried everything else! Although I got bored after 30 seconds so used the electric pump and within a few minutes contractions were coming every 3mins and baby was out 8.5hrs later. I was a week overdue and it turned out baby had been b2b and stuck.
Angelmommy - how on earth did you cope for 3 weeks?
Holistic induction was pleasant - acupressure and aromatherapy massage. Midwife was impressed with my breathing through contractions!! The lady before me ended up going to the labour suite because she was 4cm dilated and contracting (grrr! envious!)
So, "conventional" induction booked for Monday evening.
Still having contractions, still getting bloody show, waters still haven't gone.
Tired, back pain (no-one's mentioned possibility of baby being b2b), contraction pain and hip pain - it sucks!!! I'm sure if I could have kept upright and mobile I would have had baby by nowOH is being wonderful bless him!
Hope everyone is okRock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
quick update - went to hospital again last night.... 2cm dilated! whoop whoop!!!
Progress is being made!
Still having contractions - hopefully I'll avoid Monday's induction.... (but don't mind so much now! just want baby OUT!)
Either way, it's not long now...Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Yay Aunty Pickle, I'm glad something's happening
My baby was back to back for the first 18 hours or so of contractions, midwife said the contractions were getting baby into place but it wasn't until she broke my waters that labour properly began. She was a great midwife too, and said she preferred not to do vaginal examinations at all, and had me in all sorts of positions on the floor to try to turn baby quicker. I hope your midwife is good to you too! Wishing you lots of luck and hoping you get your baby today :j

Go auntie pickle , hope bubs is here soon :0)
Nothing happening here apart from lots of Brixton hicks now 38 + 2 so I know it's early days.
Got cot set up today, bigger than we thought have squeezed it into our room and moved a bookcase into the office. Feeling tired after swim this morning and busy day. Now sitting down crocheting.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -

Congratulations gayleygoo and welcome Missyy76!!
Keeping my eye out for news from Aunty-Pickle, loving coming back to all these birth announcements
I was away in Mallorca for 5 days last week, it was lovely to have some alone time with OH before baby arrives - last holiday of freedom and all that! No real news, just about to hit 3rd tri so that's exciting and I'm kinda hoping it goes quickly since I'm so impatient to meet LO now! TMI warning, but boobs started spontaneously leaking on Friday (rather than me squeezing them out of curiosity!). It's only small amounts so nothing dramatic, just making them a bit sore.
Hope everyone's ok xxDS - 08/15
