Congrats on the pram Monty! I'll hopefully end up using cloth nappies, so I'll always have something else to buy! :rotfl:

7+4 today, and I already have my first pocket nappy that's cute! :o

This is the pram. It's much nicer in real life! I got the car seat free and because it was the last one and display model I asked for a further discount which they couldn't do but gave me a £20 gift card to buy something else. You can't tell it's ex display it's been chained to the wall so not even the wheels are marked!

    Hello ladies.

GTT day for me today. I'm just in the waiting period now, then have to stay around after for other scans and appointments. I was dreading today, as I have to be here from basically 9-5 but so far it's lovely. Sitting outside in the shade, and I mixed up appointments so actually I only have to be here til about 3.

I've also accepted that if GTT is bad then it's not the end of the world. I am reassured by ladies losing weight on the diabetic diet which i need to do anyway. So a silver lining. Having to stick to a diet wouldn't be a bad thing.

I also think that getting out of the house is another reason I'm enjoying today. Lots of people watching as I think I'm starved of real life human contact.

So a better day so far than expected, even with two random near vomiting episodes. Long may my good mood last

Hi ladies, I've been living on the FB threads for the last week so had a lot to catch up on.

I had my MW appointment today and she said bump is bigger than it should be both up and down and side to side and it should not be this hard - probably from too much water. In fact she could not feel the baby - something I've not been able to do. I'm already seeing the consultant tomorrow for my breathlessness/iron levels but she would have sent me there tomorrow anyway because of my size.

I'm not having extra scans because of the IVF...

I've signed up to lazy daisie classes starting next month and the antenatal classes are making this birth thing seem very real. In fact scary. DH thinks I'm being very negative but I know a lot more about this than him. Every other couple at our class is about 10 years younger than us which makes me feel old.

Monty, the nappy studs are to change the size of the nappy so it gets bigger as the baby grows.

Mrs TM, what's the nappy make?

    Welcome monty :) .

credit_crunch wow that sounds like a good haul! I bet you feel better and more prepared. Yes a weekend type bag sounds fine for the baby. I felt bad that my baby bag had a third of what my bag had haha! But to be fair my bag contains many snacks....

sewit I wouldn't say my movement have been regular either but I haven't tried writing them down like you. I wouldn't know where to start! Sometimes I have panicked when I think he hasn't moved for a while but if I'm busy I think he moves and I don't even think about it!

lemontree I'm the same! I remember saying at 28 weeks that if the baby came then I would be ready. Now I've got so much since and still think of things now. I think we probably have a million things we don't need haha.

mrs_t_m that's a very cute nappy :) I got some reusables about 15/20 weeks ago but now I'm not sure I feel confident enough to use them :o MIL had offered to keep us in disposables but she's been a bit off with me when OH and I had a disagreement so I think I'd rather decline her offer.

t2d pleased you're are having a nice day :) . I almost fainted twice during my GTT test due to the lack of food I think so I hope you've got lots of munchies to keep you going!

AFM, just had my 36 week midwife appointment. She said I'm 3/5 engaged and was amazed I hadn't been feeling that much pressure. I said that I had felt him slightly lower but people describe the engaged feeling like the baby is going to fall out and I haven't felt that. Hoping I just have super strong pelvic floor muscles haha. He is measuring between the middle and top percentile line so im happy with that. It wasn't my normal midwife as she is on holiday and I forgot to mention that I was supposed to be weighed at this appointment so that didn't happen but never mind. I want to get excited that he is that much engaged as I hoped that would mean that he is coming sooner rather than later but my friend said that her baby was this engaged this early and still came two weeks late. Boo!!

What Peonie said! The poppers are to make it smaller/bigger as needed, as it's a birth (well 10 pounds) until potty size (~35 pounds).

    It's an Alva Baby nappy.
