Sorry ladies, something is not working on fb, so I'm not seeing the requests. Hopefully Daisey can sort it later! Mix of old age and baby brain going on here I think.0

I just approved two, not sure who they are0

Thanks Daisie. Probably my incompetence!0

Evening ladies
AquamarineMonkey I go to the office even on a working from home day just to keep cool in the air conditioning lol. My flat is stupid hot but it's just starting raining here to will hopefully cool things down.
teaandcakeordeath Sounds like your midwife if a keeper, at least she can be there to back you up. It's your choice at the end of the day!
Is anyone getting night cramps? I keep waking up with savage pain in my calves. I was told to drink tonic water or bitter lemon and I have been for a week but nothing is helping. Anyone have any tips please?
Feeling pleased with myself as managed to finish off buying all the bits for the hospital back today, I'm only 26+4 but I like to be organised!0 -
LailaP I found leg cramps horrible, they hurt so much! I found what worked for me is doing calf stretches before bed, especially these:
Calf stretches. Stand a metre from a wall and lean forwards with your arms outstretched to touch the wall. Keep the soles of your feet flat on the floor. Hold for five seconds. Repeat the exercise for five minutes, three times a day, especially before going to bed.
also making sure I drank lots of water and eating more bananas! iv not had anymore since I started doing all that.0 -
Hello
I'm just on a long weekend in Wales so not very up with what's going on! Lots to read...
robots, skintchick, t2d, daisiegg - sorry to hear the medics are being blooming useless (still). I think it is a realyl good point to remember that consultants seem a skewed perspective
t2d - urgh insomina. I am living the dream - as I am off had a nap this afternoon but still feel exhausted. Think I am catching up!
AFM - went to see my friend who had her second in feb. He was 9 days over and unfortunately when she went for her sweep her waters broke! However later that night she went into labour (thank goodness) and still had the home birth. Although she never got round to getting in the water birthing pool as he was so quick the mws walked in the door to see her on all fours with the head crowning! Lucky for me they have a spare never used birthing pool so we are buying it for £60 so that's that sorted! Also got a bag of left over size 1 disposables.
Presents - that's a really good question. It's a funny because I feel ungrateful but I also feel anxious about lots of unwanted/unneeded presents. We got a few bits and pieces online and this week I have given MIL permission to buy any cute outfits that take her fancy. She's seen a black and white all in one with '9 months inside' on it and I've told her to go for her life and I have no issues with dressing our baby up as very important to have embarrassing photos as soon as you can. I remember on previous threads all the posts of dressed up babies at Christmas!
So far I would want a snugglebundle (again posted on an earlier thread) and the bibs that look like bandanas but with a plastic bit at the bottom for them to chew. However no-one's asked yet! However making these suggestions for lady at work so maybe they'll guess!
Probably mostly have time for lurking for the next few days and yes please don't leave for fb completely!Met DH to be 2010

I have just asked to be added to the facebook group too, I am a good reader on this thread but find facebook easier as its easier to access from my mobile.
I start my NCT classes tomorrow and my NHS ones next week, only problem with the NCT ones is that I cant do my pregnancy yoga for a while now as it clashes or I am working!
Hoping the other parents are nice as would defo like to make friends to see when I am off!
Nothing else to report from me, I am 32+2 today, got most bits now, got our moses basket and bedding the other day and I can't wait to finish work in 3 weeks as can then hopefully get house more tidied and clothes washed and the baby's sleeping area all set up!
Congrats on the new babies and new pregnancies! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
