I'm still here and still waiting...going in for daily monitoring now, plus another discussion with the doc re induction. We're willing to consider it on Friday, now that things are starting to happen (slowly!). Midwife did an internal and a sweep on Mon, and cervix starting to soften, but not fully there yet.

Corinne Sharon was safely evicted this morning weighing 7lb 15oz. There were a few hairy moments for both of us during the operation, and the poor girl ended up being yanked out with forceps, but all are happy and healthy now which is the main thing. Breast feeding going OK so far, and am already up and about post operation so hopeful that we may get sprung loose tomorrow at some point.

Congratulations Fuzzipeg hope you get home today.

Nothing seems to be happening over here, I get the odd twinge then it goes away. Due date and midwife tomorrow, will see what she says when I go, as she seems to run to her own rules so i'm not expecting the usual general 40wk check haha.

Midwife this morning, had a "good" sweep (definitely knew she was doing it and was much more uncomfy since) had a couple of walks today, bouncing on the ball and we are having a curry for tea. Here is hoping things start moving.

Hi all, baby Firebird arrived yesterday at 16:45 via forceps after a surprisingly quick induction (husband got a phone call to come back shortly after he'd left me in hospital for the night!). It was a bit traumatic, but the staff were brilliant, and baby definitely worth it. A not-so-little girl at 8lb14! Hoping to be home from hospital tomorrow once feeding properly sorted.
