  • Kafka, that sounds lovely!

Will probably give that a try tonight. :j

I've been eating a mainly vegan diet for a few weeks now, and I feel so much better, so this recipe fits the bill perfectly. Thanks!

I love it as a salad - the biggest help I find is to make sure you rinse it really well, and then cook in some form of stock - I use homemade stock or the Marigold vegetable powder one. I then add finely sliced onions, red peppers, cucumber, finely chopped fresh chilli. End with a good squeeze of lemon or lime juice and plenty black pepper. Watercress is good with it too

  • 1) Open packet of quinoa.
    2) Tip into bin.
    3) Cook something tasty for dinner instead.

    Hi V8monkeyboy,

There's an earlier thread with more ideas that may help so I'll add your thread to it to keep the recipes and suggestions together.

Did a fairly big shopping in Morrisons yesterday and bought what i thought was a 36p bag of pearl barley...however when i got home i check my receipt and found Quinoa £2.79:eek:...My fault,id picked up the wrong bag, both items on the shelf side by side in almost identical packaging(thats my excuse and im sticking to it).
I did initialy think about taking it back, but ive decided to try it(as its a wholefood...should be healthy?)..only trouble is i have no idea what to do with it...any recommendations please. :)
