The bridge into the city centre and its immediate roads have been closed since lunchtime today (floods!) and looks as if it will be so for the rest of the week. Buses are running but via different routes, and I'm wondering if my OCCA will be put on hold as the office is located not too far from the bus station which is closed.
Must also remember to print out different bus routes (as above) details for several friends who don't have the internet, but do rely on buses.
Bridge has been reopened but buses are still running via different routes. OCCA is still on.
Different bus routes for friends weren't needed - they either had lifts or did not/will not need to make use of the buses this week.
Flying Update: Not a lot (for which read "nothing") got done in the kitchen, but a stack of paperwork got decluttered in the sitting room - you know how you start a job, it goes well, so you keep on with it? That's what happened with the paperwork .....

Morning all, I'm kind of in again as in will do some flying today as none has been done properly since last Thursday. Have a guest staying so will have to choose quiet things.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning!
I'm in the office today but relatively good shape at home. Will be keeping an eye on weather as we are forecast the white stuff  Last time it did that when I was at work I skidded my car down the hill into oncoming traffic  still get palpitations about it when I think about it!!! I'm parked facing up the hill today... Which thinking about it could be worse <oops>
So my job app is ready, will upload it today then I can forget about it, hurrah! My boss is just doing his now, crikey I thought I left stuff till the last minute.
Oh and I've been thinking about the future and considering getting into the dating scene. How frightful!Bossymoo

rebeccaharris31 I certainly wish that's how it could be in our house with the paperwork!! - however after max of 30 mins - standing at the ironing board sorting papers (it's the right height!) I am in agony. Don't even go there when I have to unjam the shredder - I need a crane or a couple of steady chairs to haul self up on as my back has "gone".
Having said that it is so much less than it was - babysteps and listen to your body girl!!!
Doesn't help still up to my eyes in research for War Mem - and that creates a paperwork mountain all of its own!

Me again. It's raining here with the odd bit of sleet so I've not been out with the girls. Instead, I've done the bathroom jobs, cleaned windows and mirrored surfaces in our bedroom and done the ironing (only 5 items). Will see what else I can do from the lists now before the paid stuff.Spend less now, work less later.0

Morning all
Raining her so I took DH to the station in my pjs, so classey.
WM on and yesterday's laundry away.
Just off for the shower so I can watch the next WO final. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Mumofjusttwo of course you can join in again - this flying lark does help doesn't it; bit by bit you can get through the housework and it does get easier.
Jazee I'm not taking my little girl out for a walk either - DD had to almost pick her up and chuck her out the front door to go for a wee!! Needless to say she's snuggled up in her basket now with her nose firmly tucked into her tail like a little mouse :A
Justthetwoofus do you have a back condition? My poor Mum suffers dreadfully with hers and mine's a bit dodgy though nothing like yours by the sound of it. Take it easy.
Bossymoo hope the white stuff stays away from you. If not you've got to try and take a deep breath, relax and take it really easy and try not to think about what happened last time ((hugs)). As for the other thing mentioned, well, why not! Before I met DH I joined an agency and had a lovely time meeting all these chaps. Isn't it typical that I met DH outside of the agency; must have know it was the real thing as the very next day I cancelled my membership :blushing:
DD just gone to school, I'm just about to take DS. Think I'll wear my wellies as it's pouring down and I don't want to get my new suede boots wet! Then bit of paid stuff followed by flying, knit and natter and lunch. See you later!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

GWS vibes being sent your way JTTOU and congratulations on getting so much done!
Today's Flying: Am out from about 12.15 pm to just after 4, and also from 6.45 pm to about 9 so have really only got this morning to get anything sorted. Here's hoping .......
Hope to post later.0 -
Oh and I've been thinking about the future and considering getting into the dating scene. How frightful!
LOL.. I can't think of anything worse! I'm sure you are an amazing catch with oodles of fabulous positive attributes. My nanna was 36/37 when her hubby sprung his mortal coil (pulmonary embolism) and she never looked for any further relationships, though there was a guy called Alan who spent many a year asking her out she just kind of hero worshipped my granddad and never moved on.. it was a bit sad in a way but she seems happy.. Don't feel pressured into anything and just be yourself because from what I've seen here you seem very lovely. I look forward to hearing your tales of woeJust enjoy being you if it is meant to be, it will be.
bed at 2am.. OH woke me coughing at 5:30ish... and now I'm up.. fabulous! Good job I not dating, I look and feel like hell today.. Squeak wants to go ice skating tomorrow and thinks she is having a sparingly leotard for it after watching the figure skating yesterday.. she wants me to go watch her.. Why does this terrify me? I've been to the ice arena before.. there is usually the group leader and 2 or 3 other children there it isn't like there are people!! I think I need to go just to force myself to get dressed and brushed and slap on..
I have tummy ache today.. I'm so fed up of being under par.. I don't feel ill I just have loads of nasty odd bits... supersnot, tummy ache and my legs/hips are killing me. Ok... whining about health matters done for today.. but I do need to get Squeak to drs with her eczema... does anyone here still wet wrap their childs eczema? I have a bandage Q... we used crepe bandages for DD1.., we did aqueous cream, cotton wool blob and wrapped with crepe bandages and stuck down with plaster roll... but are those self sticky bandages better? Her little wrists are so sore!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all, count me in this week but only from Wednesday. Yesterday, well not quite sure what happened to yesterday..lol. And today I am off out for a birthday lunch with my best friend. Plus DH is working from home anyway so wouldn't have got much done - I hate it when he is working from home as it means I have to keep quiet
I can honestly say I haven't watched any of the Winter Olympics as of yet. Might pop it on from tomorrow while I do my flying
