The Witch house has the lurgy! We all have coughs and colds so not much is being done :o DD1 is the worst, I know cos she keeps asking for cuddles :rotfl: She's hoping to be better for tomorrow as she has work (she won't be) they should just send her home.
The girls were off yesterday as well so we had a film day. All I did extra was bake two banana loaves, one for me and one for DD1's boyfriend cos I'm a lovely mother-in-lawish :A

  • Hi again - thanks to Mumof2 and Rebecca Harris for your kind thoughts and concern.
I'm fine - not really a back problem as such, just a weak spot - lower back tends to go into spasm when I stay down on the floor for too long. (just don't do it!)

The other health problems - much worse at the time but all thankfully under control atm and not half as bad as some. Been a ca survivor now for nearly 18 years!

Have you noticed how we all just get on wth it - to the best of our abilities? xx

I've just lost my rag with the girls  Just because you're coughing and snotty does not stop you from picking your dirty washing up and stripping your bed!!:mad:
DD2 started moaning that I don't do anything when I'm ill  DD1 defended saying that the last time I was "proper ill" I had shingles and ended up in hospital on a drip :( I also had a migraine at the weekend and stayed in bed, but neither of them was here anyway!
My bed is stripped, waiting for theirs so mattress protectors can be washed/tumbled so they can go back on.
Girls curtains down, also waiting to be washed with their bed throws.
DD1 is currently sitting in the walk in cupboard "sorting carp" and dressing her build-a-bear  DD2 is sitting on her bed sorting through carrier bags of her "carp" found in said cupboard. I've told then neither of them is leaving the room til its done and so far they've stayed put :eek: That is a first, they tend to normally just gang up on me and I give up :o.
Note : all phones, ipods & gadgets are downstairs :D, it's very quiet up there ;)

Scrap that, DD2 has just come down claiming to be hungry, teach her not to eat breakfast when told to! Been told to put washing in wash bins and bedding on landing then she can eat. It's not as cruel as it sounds, honest!

It's piddling down here so no point doing the kitchen floor just yet as the dog will only dirty it again.
Off to do the bathroom now . . .

Morning All, shocking weather here. DH decided to work from home 'just in case' and now he has gone up the car park with the windscreen repair man so he can get a good surface for erecting his canopy

Dinner is in slow cooker, pastry for tomorrow made and in fridge, biscuit dough for DDs Maths Friday Fika also chilling. She is the only girl and lets them sucker her into baking most weeks, they want heart shaped things this week and egg free.:rotfl:

  • Hello all

    GWS vibes for the poorlies
Bossy good luck for the dating, I'm like Pigpen that I hate dating but I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet at some point and put myself out there on the dating scene.

Feel so sorry for those in flooded areas and I've just seen the forecast and it looks awful.
