I've told my Dad about my move back to my 'home' city. He went quiet and then said 'you have to live your live for you, not me' so I took that to mean he wasn't happy about it but wouldn't stop me (he couldn't anyway
)
I'd interpret that quite differently. What I'm hearing is, 'If you need to go, you must go. Don't stay here just for me.' I'm sure he realises he'll miss you.
Interesting how differently we hear things. (((Hugs)))Better is good enough.0 -
Taken DD to Coventry for her Uni interview.
Checked with petrol prices website for prices there - so filled up at 3p a litre less than round here for the return journey:money:
Flying will start tomorrow.
My DD is at Coventry and very impressed with it as a uni and accommodation/ pastoral care. Any questions please pm me xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all - couldn't sleep so have been reading since 6!
Pigpen I smiled when I heard your comment about an "explosion in a charity shop" with regard to your washing mountain. Ours used to be like that on a weekend too.
Not sure it would work so well for you and your family but we have reduced our wash baskets to just one to share not one each - kept in the bathroom. When that is full I know I have a washer load so it gets done and dried on the airer. It means I am not using the TD as much, we don't need as many clothes, the ironing is not such a lengthy chore, more space in the bedrooms where the old baskets were kept etc etc.
Not sure what I'm doing today - trying to declutter a book called 5:2 your life - not just about diet but about all areas of life!!! Sounds good so far, so might just help me to be more organised, productive, start a fitness regime and spend quality weekend time with DH rather than fretting I am not doing something off my frog list.:)
Have a good day and hope the sun comes out for us all.July 16 £95/£200

Morning all
We have sunshine and no wind so plan is for garden repairs and pruning.
Kaz - DS3 has an IK£A wooden long trug thing which is screwed to the side of his desk which they all go in for Year 7. They don't have many text books, mainly their exercise books. DS2 in VI form has folders on a shelf and magazine files for books etc.
Deco well done for telling your Dad, my Mother's reply would be similar

Morning!
Just having :coffee:
Have sorted the disaaaaster of a kitchenmuch better now. Going out in an hour and a half for lunch then to drop littlies with inlaws. Need to be home before 7 for my sainsbobs delivery.
Kids have been bathed and tattooed and nails painted :rotfl: you can tell its half term. DS has a pirate ship tattoo and orange nails with black stripes, he's also wearing his tiger onesie and doing rather a lot of growling. DD has glitter tattoos and nails and is dancing (again).
So you can see we are all happy here
I will be making DS put all his cars away before we go out...Bossymoo

I don't use the TD unless necessary.
1 washbasket in the bathroom doesn't hold all the towels we go through in a day.. let alone dirty clothes too. the 3 littlies can use 3 or 4 outfits each a day. then there is wet bedding, everyone elses clothes and school uniforms.. it is never ending.. I have done 3 full loads of towels.. they are out on the lineBaby stuff is in the TD and the fleecy and wool stuff is on the airers... and I now have added all yesterdays stuff, a load of bedding from Squeak and all the pj's.. it breeds faster than I can wash iy.. I did however just refold the pile of clean stuff the girls brought down!!!!! gggrrrrrr.....
