    Morning all!

Awful weather here - the seafront is flooded, several roads are closed and quite a lot of trees down. One of the local parks is closed due to trees / branches, etc. being down. Not as awful as in some places but tis a bit worrying when you live in the centre of an island and wake up to the sound of sirens and seagulls!!

Hope everyone else is safe and dry x

Dusty and Natty - sorry I missed your birthdays. Hope you both had good days xx

    Hugs for all poorlies x

ionafan - hope things improve for you; sending hugs and prayers x

Had a busy but good week - I, froddy , officially work at a school that is 'good' at everything :D Saw The Book Thief at the cinema (recommended) and Frank Turner at the Guildhall (awesome!).

Flying so far today = washing up, cleaning toilet and bin, and 1 x WM. Now going to write myself a list of things I [STRIKE]will [/STRIKE] / [STRIKE]need [/STRIKE]hope to achieve this week!

By the way, can I now show my ignorance, and ask, what's "messy church" please?:o I have visions of a building with an altar, pews and stained-glass windows in dire need of the Flyladies' touch.:o

Messy church was started by an enterprising lady down south and has now spread the country. Children with their parents get together in church and do messy activities and crafts always with a set theme. Yesterday's was LOVE. While the helpers (I'm one of those) clean up, they go off and have a bible story and a bit of a sing song, then they come back in the main hall where everyone sits round a big table and eats tea together. Yesterday was sausage casserole.

I think they all run to similar lines.

Well I am back after nearly two hours out walking with the dogs and being buffeted by the wind. Now having a jacket spud with hm coleslaw before deciding what to do next.

Not quite, LW (though some of the buildings might be like that!). You'll find the official answer here but it's much easier just to say that it's ****FUN**** and ****CARING**** like the Flylady family

  • Still a bit windy here in mk.

Dh gone out to buy some more loft insulation and a light for the understairs cupboard. Hes also buying a chest freezer. We are in desperate need of a 2nd one.

Dds off to a party shortly. One in rapunzel and thr other is snow white.

Weve just had a ten minute tidy and taken lots of bits back to bedrooms and ive done quick paper clear in dining room.

Played freezer tetris snd extracted bunch of unidentifyable packages for freezer surprise dinner.

Will try do bathrooms whilst kids out.

    Messy church sounds great!

Thanks, Jazee and Ionafan. I've seen it referred to before on these pages, and always wondered what on earth it could be.:o It's the first time I've had the nerve to ask.:o

Been in the garden and we are going to need to do some fence repairs once the weather improves - hailstone storm in progress atm.

Time for a cuppa and then I think a HHC on sorting out stuff to get rid of because I'm in that kind of mood.

    Hi

I wish they did messy church at our church :O

Just taking a breather and having a hm choc twink. We didn't have any chocolate to put on them so put hot choc powder in the mix. I let the littlies roll it into balls and squish them onto the tray. Rather nice. Need to hide them!

Also made tomato and roasted pepper soup, checked over freezer and listed, and did an online shop to come tomorrow night.

Other than that I have looked through one bag from the garage shelf. I don't want to get rid of anything. It's all party invites, table covers, party bag stuff, paper plates. Things we will use.

I do have a spare tub that I can sort some other bits into (might use as the "uh-oh lekky's gone off" kit). Which will make it look tidier.

I might go have a look now...
