I've just had a productive time! Two shelves sorted through in garage, now tidied and decluttered.

Clothes ready to post to another flylady sat next to me to be folded as small as I can get them (!).

Right DD wants a candy crush type game on her tablet ...

Bossy, try rolling the clothes, I find they take up less space that way.

I decided to put some tile transfers on some of the plain cream tiles in my kitchen. I now have a retro 70's kitchen, good job I don't do modern and sleek.

DH is home now so time to walk the dogs again and then relax.

    Have a great evening everyone.

Bossy, having rolled them, cling film them as tightly as you can wrap them.

All of the stuff that I so carefully tidied away when the extra people came to stay has now started filtering back out into the cleared spaces. I feel like Queen Canuta here.
    Better is good enough.

Ooh I wonder if I can vacuum bag them???

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I guess they will weigh the same, however much air I squeeze out...

We've had a hh fresh air. A break in the rain so DS got his bike out after all, and DD had a scoot and run around. She is tired and teary again so we're having a cuddle then I'll sort them some tea.

Taken DD to Coventry for her Uni interview.

Checked with petrol prices website for prices there - so filled up at 3p a litre less than round here for the return journey:money:

    Flying will start tomorrow.

Took DS out for brekkie as a treat today and DH had a text saying his Mums boiler wasn't right so we went there on our way home. 3 hours later (yakking!) we got home and I started on DD's bedroom as she's at drill comp this weekend. I'm at the wardrobe now which is a huge ikea jobby and I can't reach all the shelves. We need to rearrange it for her so she can use it properly or she won't keep her room organised and I want her to be able to.

Secondary school Mums, what do your kids keep their books in to keep tidy?

ETA: Stopped for tea and card games with DS. TV is OFF and music on. It's lovely.
I have put a planter on the lid of my log store and it stopped it slamming up and down and our soot flap is no longer rattling so I think tonight will be calmer.

Bossy, good luck on the D word ;)

  • Hi all

This weather combined with working 6 days a week for the last 3 weeks has made me feel a bit meh so not been on mse and have been escaping to my kindle.

Bossy good luck with the dates
Dusty belated birthday wishes for yesterday
LW you're certainly not disliked on here (quite the opposite)
ionafan sorry to hear about your friend

I've told my Dad about my move back to my 'home' city. He went quiet and then said 'you have to live your live for you, not me' so I took that to mean he wasn't happy about it but wouldn't stop me (he couldn't anyway :p )

WM on & washing hung on indoor line

    To do before bed:

Strip bed & remake with fresh linen

    Tomorrow's plan of action

Paint shower room ceiling with primer
Wash the bathroom walls removing the annoying bits of paper that have refused to shift thus far

    Goodnight all
