Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
It really doesn't pay to stay loyal to insurers. Well done on your saving.

  • Resubmitted a settlement offer to one of the big debt predators. Hoping they will come back with a sensible offer. The other three I'm leaving for the time being. I'll keep up with the payment plans and make them another offer in a few months time.
There really does not seem to be any consistency between banks etc re partial settlement IMO. The accounts were all of a very similar age. The first three settled immediately for at or very close to my offer. The fourth one eventually accepted close to the original offer, but the other four are flatly refusing to go anywhere near a reasonable amount.
Anyway, I'm really chuffed that debt mountain has gone down so far in such a short time.
