Passed a milestone today as mortgage amount owed is now in the £50,000s! Gradually going down.
I've managed 2 years and four months of staying in budget and paying down debt. Go me!
Stopping worrying about finances now for the summer. I'll stay in the black though.

It's a long slog, Try Harder, but now I'm getting somewhere and I'm not stopping till all the debt has gone. At least you have a good decade to get yourself sorted before retiring. I left it far too late before the lightbulb came on and I seriously got down to it. Thankfully, I'm in a job that I love, so the extra years working won't be so bad, but I could have been retired sooner doing the travelling etc. Hey ho!

Another one bites the dust! Just settled another CC debt for just under half of what was owed. Just two big ones and a smaller one left now. Debt is now 60% gone! Amazing considering I was going to leave everything until after the summer.

Result! Had one offer accepted that takes debt amount owed to £13,000! If the other one is accepted the debt amount goes down below £10,000! I'm over the moon. To get to this point in two and a half years of debt busting is amazing! I've been lucky in that I've had help with a lump sum, but I've been able to settle £43,420 of debt for £13,682 so far, 31.5% of the total owed.
I can't believe it. The end is in sight...
