Welcome Paige Turner - congrats on your scan!

Yay for your 20 week scan date too freshstart11. It's funny how they bunch together, we have none for a fortnight, then two on 6th Aug, two on 8th Aug and 3 on 15th Aug.

Does anyone have any special pillows or gismos they recommend for sleeping with a bump? At my pregnancy Pilates this week the instructor came round and put a long pillow between our knees while we were on our left sides, and it was amazingly comfy!

Just checking in. Had a very poorly lo in hospital (whilst on our hols). So relieved she is out now but going to try and enjoy the rest of our break. Few people having scans I think (mine should have been Tuesday but obviously we are away). Hope all is well xxx

    Hi all

Welcome to any newbies I've missed (hi Paige!).

Mr Knight hope your littlun is ok :)

I ended up in hospital this morning to get checked out as I hadn't felt any movement at all since about 9pm last night which is extremely unusual for me, my baby is a constant wriggler. I phoned this morning and they said to come in and did all the same things my midwife does at appointments (blood pressure, wee test and listen to heartbeat). The heartbeat was fine and the baby immediately started wriggling again - obviously just to show me up. I wasn't really too worried as I know they can still tuck themselves in at this stage and turn backwards so you wouldn't feel much but thought it best to get checked.

It was worth it anyway as my husband got to hear the heartbeat for the first time, he's been to scans but not midwife appointments. He thought it sounded like a diesel engine!

Only two more days on this thread and then it's off to the big thread for me, how exciting and scary at the same time :)

Hope everyone has a lovely Friday.

Glad to hear baby is doing well angeltreats. Your last two days in this group means by the time our newest ones join you on the last thread, you'll be about to pop!

We're doing lots of form-filling at the mo, mortgage, solicitor, surveyor. 21 weeks til baby is due, so just need to exchange and complete our house chain, put in new central heating, stairs, kitchen, bathroom and carpets, decorate, oh and buy some baby gear. Tidy.:rotfl:

    Is that all? :rotfl:

Our list isn't much better. Finish upstairs bathroom. Finish sanding banister & varnish. Paint hall, landing and stairs. Carpet landing and stairs. Rip out entire downstairs bathroom, get builders in, get building work finished & new bathroom installed. Decorate downstairs bathroom. Lay wood flooring in hall. Decorate nursery. The thought of it all depresses me!

    Hi all

Picked up my nappies from Tesco today and then decided to buy another 4pks as bogof still so got 2 of sz1 2 of sz3 and 4 of sz3+ which must be a new sz as never had them for last baby- all fit within my 10p or less nappy rule. Got a few pks sz 2 already from aldi using the 50% off vouchers.

Have unpacked my stokke xplory very pleased for money we paid shopping bag needs a repair to popper to attach to pushchair frame so will get that done n lady said would refund me cost.

Going to wash all fabrics at weekend and brought some dettol anti bacterial stuff for in washing machine it's new n 4.50 a bottle but love the idea and great when buying second hand as can wash n be sure any germs have been killed even at low temps.

Nannying at a wedding tomorrow been booked since Jan have 3 little ones 2,2 and 4 I think.
