So am I the only one that hasn't bought a single thing for baby yet? Anyone else??
I didn't until after my 20 week scan. Actually, I did buy one thing that was an amazing bargain on argos (interactive tummy mat and toys that was up to 70% off) however had hubby put it away as soon as I had a quick look at it.
After the scan I bought some muslin cloths and clothes (just things to get started), some baby wipes that were on special in Boots and just a few items in the mothercare massive sale. Not too much however as my friends who are newish mums say that they mostly received clothes from family and friends when the new arrival appeared. We also looked at buggies after the scan - however, haven't bought yet.
Everything has been put away in the spare room after I had a look at the purchases. Won't be looking at it until the baby is here.0 -
Welcome RPS, think most people have answered your question on the other thread, I definitely agree with using a different email address as I am now bombarded with junk!
Timeflies we have so far only bought 2 unessential items, a gro egg thermometer a and a lamaze toy. Looking at a crib tonight as its cheap. Can't wait until scan day and can go buy properly, I see there are lots of us with scan dates coming up.
Love actually have you had a scan this week that I missed? If so hope it all went well0 -

I had my 20 week scan or should I say 19 week scan on 22 august. Baby is doing good and jumping around which was wonderful to see, but the hospital got my dates wrong again so I will have to go in on august 8th again for a proper anomaly scan as the sonographer could not see much.
I m happy that I will get one more peek at the baby. It is a 60% possibility that we may be a team pink but she was not very sure so will confirm in two weeks time. I m so happy with the news of baby girl.
So to celebrate the occasion I bought a pair of pink booties which are so cute and a knitted pink cap which my hubby liked. If anyone is in Scotland or visiting can thoroughly recommend the Fort Kinnaird Mothercare outlet. Loads and loads of toys, clothes, every baby item you could ever think of, maternity clothes, bras, pants, buggies, prams etc. etc.. I resisted buying however hubby bought an extremely cute, thick, cuddly and warm little bear outfit with detachable gloves, little bear feet and hood. Really warm and will be perfect for winter. £39 down to £9. Similar to this but brown and even more luxurious http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Embossed-Snowsuit/LC8837,default,pd.html0

Aw runmichellerun- my feet were massive yesterday - not sure if that's the heat or the pregnancy, but they sure didn't fit in my shoes! Did you have to sit with your feet up for the swelling to go down?
Glad your scan went well loveactually - do they give you a new expected due date normally at your 20 week scan? Atthe 12 week scan mine moved from 22 to 26 December, so wondering if it might move again!
Hope everyone is coping ok with the hot nights!
After only putting on 2.5 pounds in 17 weeks of pregnancy, I've put on 4 pounds in a week - growth spurt I think! I had been eating two lunches for a week;) , but my appetite is back to normal now I think.
I've not waited to buy bbaby things on superstitious grounds, more practical ones - we've had two buyers let us down, and I just don't want the house to be full of clutter if we have to re-market it again.
Happily our offer has been accepted to buy a bigger house, so we'll have somewhere to put baby now! The house does need gutting, new boiler, new bathroom, new kitchen, new carpets, new stairs... but it is in our price range and in a nice areaJust hoping to get the chain closed out, and get in and some of the big renovations done before baby arrives - fingers crossed!

Yes thanks. Put them up like you said, plus had the fan on me all night last night. So things are back to normal this morning - we shall wait and see what the afternoon brings
Congratulations on the house by the way! We're just going through all the solicitor stuff with buying our place. Fingers crossed we'll be in in September!LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00 -
Love actually glad the scan went ok and at least you get to go back again, hope you remain team pink now you have bought some cute items in that colour!
Following on from Views post, does anyone know how to find out if a mothercare is an outlet store? Or can someone confirm that the one in Truro is? Tried looking it up but it seems they don't want you to find them!
Runmichellerun - poor you, think the hot weather is sticking around for a while so hope you cope while it lasts
Timeflies - hope all goes ok with the house sale and stuff, hope the chain moves quickly0 -
Timeflies- they have not given me a new EDD mine also moved during 12 week scan from 17 December to 14 December but now they did not change anythingSaving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0
