My friend lent me two pairs of work pants that adjust in the waist and are a pain in the butt in falling down but I just tighten them up
lol this did make me smile... for the non Aussies... Aliooops means work "trousers" ... tee hee! :rotfl: I can't bring myself to say 'thongs' anymore... that's what 14 years in UK does to me! edit - or did you mean pants?!
Glad things are well for everyone and angeltreats I'm so pleased the scan went so well for you, memories to cherish forever :heart2::heart2:
I can't stand the maternity under bump (with the stretchy above bit) trousers or jeans... I find them way too uncomfortable. Currently straining out of my usual work trousers but will need to admit defeat within the next week I think... 22 weeks tomorrow, so time to just go with the leggings and dresses me thinks!
Hope everyone has a nice wriggly happy weekend. Not sure if this glorious sunshine will last but hoping so... finally feeling able to have a steak on the barbie again!
Scorpio - how lovely - will have a think for you. Something that neans something to you, her and baby firstly springs to mind. A bracelet that you can engrave with your names/dates perhaps?
Oh and also a quick poll.... has anyone had the chat with their partner about if they're at the birth, if they'll be at the 'business' end or up top ? I said to my OH I prob would prefer up top so I can grip his hand in a vice like hold ha! I said however, if he really wanted to be 'down there' I would have a think about it...eeeeek... cue a very hasty retreat from him about wanting to "support me by my head and not make me feel uncomfortable" .. he must be thinking lucky escape! ;-) He's also not keen on cuting the cord... I wouldn't be either TBH!0 -
I'm ready to join you over here, I had my 12 weeks scan on Monday and have a very wriggly baby.
view I went with a water birth so everyone was up top, no option for anyone unless they wanted to drown, my hubby was completely against cutting the cord until the midwife asked after the birth and he jumped at the chance, he was pleasantly surprised at how clean baby was etc.
Scorpio I would either go with a keepsake or a maternity spa day, a lovely way to relax my hubby bought a spa day for me when my little boy was nearly 1 and it was fab.Planning to be debt free by 11/20. MFW Jan 2028 - [STRIKE]86700[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]83057.20[/STRIKE]

Angel your scan sounds great. Glad the little one put on a show
View I am currently preferring under bump trousers to overbump but may be as my bump isn't big enough yet to fill the stretchy bit! Not had the discussion about the birth, still in denial about it, but think we would both agree he should not go near the business end, he would prob end up fainting lol
Scorpio does your wife like massages? Could always get a mum to be pamper session?0 -
My husband absolutely does not want to cut the cord and I can't say I blame him, I wouldn't fancy it either
I'm hoping for a water birth but if not I think he'll be at the head end as he's too squeamish to be at the business end.

Dorethy Perkins I found do this but asda trousers we're fab last time
My hubby didn't want to cut the cord but he did, he found the experience soooo amazing
So pleased it is Friday, work has been so busy. In my Jammys and had toast for tea as I am too tired. Kept leftover pasta for lo. Just hoping she sleeps.0 -

Great question view! DH has out in the birth plan that he is firmly at my head end and he thinks he won't want to go business end. I am glad to be firmly at the business end.
One friend nearly took her DH's head off when the mw asked him to come see the baby crowning and he moved that way. Another was on all fours with her first when the mw took her hand and said 'there can you feel the head?' She snatched her hand back and hissed, 'I am giving birth - is that not enough for you?'
DIfferent strokes for different folks.Met DH to be 2010

See you in a few weeks SewIt and Alioops. And welcome to the board Scorpio and Lotti.
Been quiet in here over the weekend, hope everybody is ok.
Nothing much to report from me, just enjoying getting bigger and feeling LO move around.
Feel slightly scared that I'm 21 weeks tomorrow which means that, no matter what, even if I'm overdue, I am at least half way through my pregnancy. Eeek!LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00 -
