Daisyegg the brown blood is old, so hopefully nothing more than a bit of what went on last week.
Sounds to me like you need to rest xx
I've been to see my consultant today, and I'm in utter shock for two reasons. The first is all my hospital records have been scanned onto the computer, they no longer use paper records, but they appear to have lost all the forms relating to my treatment, biopsies and diathermy! They told me I'd never had any of them and I was like omg yes I bloody have! My mum was with me today, she was there when the ops were done so she demanded they check their other records! We were in there for almost three hours and then they found them!! I was so angry!
However after an examination, I'm looking pretty good at the moment and my cervix is just about long enough to not worry at this stage so for now, no stitched required, hurrah!
I'm back in 6 weeks to be checked again, I so hope that this can just be a normal pregnancy, I've been through enough!0 -
That's great news Monty that everything's looking pretty good. Not great that they lost you're notes .
As for money afterwards, I'm not overpaying the credit cards like I was so what I save there is being put to one side to buy baby things etc although we're hoping that there will be a bit of stuff passed over to us from two friends that have had kids in the last year. It's cheeky but we're not going to turn stuff down.
We're probably looking at hubby going part time and being a SAHD as he's on a minimum wage job so essentially his full time pay would pay for full time child care which is just ridiculous and I'm possibly going to drop a day too but will have to see what happens particularly with the impact on me and my condition.
I've got an appointment tomorrow with the obstetric consultant to discuss what sort of care plan is to be put in place for so that should be interesting and hey if nothing else it gets me out of work in the morning lol.

Hello ladies
I've been away this weekend so just catching up.
Hope you are ok daisegg. As others have said brown blood is old blood so try not to worry too much. good luck for your scan tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be fine.
Wow peonie what bargains!! I must have missed that Facebook post, what's the name of it again please?
Am too stressing about money. We have a big family event we have to go to which we're trying to pay off before I go on mat leave. And all this baby stuff is soooo expensive. Just going to take it a day at a time and be really, really careful.0 -
Hi WTDN, type into FB 'mum 2 mum market' and it should bring up the West L... page. That's where I found out about the event. Just like their page. I got there late and there was loads of clothes left. If you know if you're having a boy or a girl you could pick up a lot of bargains. My mum thinks I should not have bought so much as first time mums get a lot of gifts - apparently.
Also type in 'baby sell swap' for local people selling baby items, not actual babies he he.
Daisie, good luck tomorrow. Write down all your symptoms so you don't forget any of them. At my scans they could not find the reason for the bleed so don't be surprised if that happens.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Good luck tomorrow daisegg - will be looking out for your post following the scan xxx
As for us financially we are ok (12wks mat pay, healthy savings joint and me personally, no debts except mortgage, hubby on good wage). However, we are both expecting to get put at risk of redundancy in next month or two so things could change... I was planning on taking 12mths and going back 3 days pw but if hubby loses job and I stay then I'd probably go back after 12wks full-time (not what I want...)
All a bit up in the air and worrying but just have to wait and see what is round the corner I suppose.
On a more positive note has anyone tried pregnancy yoga? I'm going to my first class tomorrow and really looking forward to trying it!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
We're in a it of a sticky one too. We both work full time and have good wages but we do have the mortgage, 2 cars loans (1 finishes this year and one only taken last year when we had to get rid of the scrapper that was going cost nearly £1k to fix!!!), and a loan each too which have come from previous lives that we are still trying to put behind us. We're getting there though and trying to put as much past each month as we can whilst keeping our whole budgets in mind. I get 18 weeks at full pay and then I get smp for up to the remainder of the time. I can take up to 52 weeks off.
Realistically I will probably have to go back after 7 months maximum and that will stretch us and take up everything that we will have saved before my pay is cut.
One helping hand is that my work give us a £250 gift when baby is born towards the cost of a large item! Was wondering if I can just ask for it in Boots vouchers or something then it could be used for clothes, nappies, anything at all since we have most big things already! I can only try.....
Still been carrying on being the busy busy bee that I've been all weekend, got wallpaper stripped tonight in baby's room.
Oh, and a moment of cuteness today when the snowsuit and sleeping bag arrived. Awwwww!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Hi all, I have been away so just skimmed through the last few pages to catch up
Daisiegg, sorry to hear of your bleeding and hope all is well tomorrow xx
I am 20+4 and have been experiencing stomach 'pains' for the last week or two. I can not quite figure out what they are. Sometimes they feel like spasms but other times there is a sharp pain that runs from my lower abs to my vagina area. My vagina has been really hurting (sorry tmi) in the last few days.
I did think the spasms were baby movements at first but now I am not sure.... others explain early feelings as flutters but mine are much stronger than that and very frequent. Felt it 4 times whilst typing this message so far. Has anyone else experienced such things? My placenta is at the front so I do not expect to feel strong movements yet.
I have my 20 week scan on Thursday so will mention then but I tend to get overwhelmed and forget!!0 -
20 week scan tomorrow! daisi- I hope your scan goes well. x
I revise my earlier statement about mat leave policy being generous. I get 8 weeks full pay, 18 weeks half pay with smp and then 15 weeks smp only. Anytime after 39 weeks is unpaid. I'd murder for some of your packages!Which brings me round to thinking for the millionth time 'why on earth do I work in the nhs'...

My £2 snow suit has little ears and paw feet. Ridiculously cute.
Boots vouchers sound like a good idea and I'm impressed at your decorating. Mr P won't let me go near anything now.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
