Hi ladies,
I wondered if you'd be kind enough to accept me into your group? We've been trying for just over a year and ntnp for a few months before that. It's so scary to admit things aren't happening, especially when every man and his dog seems to be making pregnancy announcements or asking when we're going to try.
Background: I'm 28, OH 31, and we've been together for nearly 10 years.
We're going on holiday in a month so I've decided that after that I'm going to be brave and go to the doctors. But what on earth do I say? I don't want the receptionist to make me feel guilty for taking up an appointment for someone who's actually "ill".:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Hi Jonesy,
Sorry you find yourself here
It's definitely worth making an appointment... you don't have to explain anything to the receptionist! Worth checking the specialities of each GP in your practice... my GP was a specialist in women's health so was very helpful. My husband's is great with so many things but with fertility "Relax" was his advice...!!!

Hi all,
I had my hsg this morning and so glad it's over! I've been stressing about it all month. It was painful and they had to use a lot of pressure because one of my tubes was very slow - in fact she wasn't sure it even came out the end at all. Annoyingly it's the side I was relying on working because the other is effected by endo.
I've been feeling really sick since the appointment. Has anyone else had this? It could be the antibiotics but can't remember the names so I can't google it!

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing ok.
Just having a quick skim back over the last couple of pages, so apologies if I miss anyone, but huge congrats Cyantist, hope your little girl is settling in well Pickle.
Janey hope you are feeling better after your HSG, I wasn't given antibiotics for mine, so I can't really help, but I feel your pain!
Fingers crossed to everyone on treatment at the moment. I am CD1 today, so made a call to our clinic and we have started our treatment plan too!!! I have to go on the pill for 21 days, which apparently they use for down regging, then stims start once I get my withdrawal bleed. The lovely nurse at the clinic told me from stims starting until egg collection might only be a couple of weeks depending how my body responds, so watch this space. And after swearing never to take the pill again.......
Hugs to you all xx0 -
Hope you're feeling better ljaney.
Good luck lauraw82. XxxMFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0 -
Hi all,
Hope you are feeling better now Janey - have you got a follow up apt to discuss findings?
Hi Laura, it's funny how each clinic is different - I have been sniffing since Tuesday to down reg, then start stimming mid September (but do need withdrawal bleed to happen first) How you feeling about it all? It is ironic that we are shutting ovaries off when you want them to work!!!!
Hope you are all doing ok x:rotfl:0 -
Thanks for your messages. I am feeling better now although I've got some endo pain which I usually only get in the first half of my cycle. I've got to wait a week until my consultant is back from holiday to find out what happens next.
AF is due next week then we'll be back to trying and wondering if there's any point...
Good luck ellesbelles, laura and everyone else who needs it!
