PM - maybe go to your GP? You might have a bug or something that's unrelated to the fertility treatment.

floaty - should have said, hugs to you. I had three months on Clomid and hated it - it made me incredibly moody and tearful. Horrible stuff. :( I do know someone who got their BFP on it though, so just focus on getting through it (countdown till its over) and keep in mind that you never know, it might just work. :D

    Re first IVF appt:

It'll vary by clinic I'm sure, but once we were seen we could have started right away if we'd wanted. Well, we have to phone up on CD1 then treatment starts on CD21, but we could have phoned on the next CD1 after the appt. We chose to postpone a few months.

The above only holds if you're on the long protocol. There's a short one that starts (I believe) on CD3?

The person you see will talk you through what sort of cycle you'll have, when you need to start, and what happens. :)

Yup, my two short protocol cycles have started on CD2 and 3.

Can't remember exact timescales now as I have old-lady brain but I'm pretty sure we started the cycle after the appointment where IVF was decided on. There may have been a slight delay because of Christmas but basically once we got to the IVF decision we were good to go next cycle.

Clomid is evil! I found it worse than the IVF drugs, although maybe that was just because I was on it for longer. Have everything crossed it does the trick.

I can't stop eating... have spent every waking minute of the last few months stuffing my face :(:o.

Pink I was thinking about the gp but I'm pretty sure they at best will say its related to the fertility meds, despite changing I've not found these guys to be much better.thoug its coming up a month I've not felt right for. It's pretty much summer I shouldn't need to sleep all I can.

WW - huge hugs to you, I don't have any answers, all I know is that however hard it seems to keep going, somehow, you do just do. I suppose it's just the fact that there isn't any alternative xxx

Skaps - I've taken the Pregnacare vitamins since Dec 2011 and DH has taken the Wellman Conception ones since June 2012. I'm sure they've got something to do with his better SA!

Mrs Happy - huge congratulations to you! That time has certainly flown by! :j xx

PM - Yay for being in the 2WW but boo for feeling so crappy! Hope you start feeling a bit better soon xx

Floaty, Vesper - ditto to feeling terrified about the future. I have images of me and DH retired and being sat round the dinner table at Christmas on our own. There's no nieces or nephews either (DH's sister is too old and single and my brother has quite severe Down's) so it really would be just the two of us. I just have to keep telling myself "I'm not giving up without a fight!"

Also floaty - when we had our referral and met the consultant, it was a case of starting on my next CD21 (I was LP). There was no waiting around although if we'd asked, it would've been fine to start later on.

tea - you're so right! Clomid is so much worse than the IVF drugs!

AFM - not much to report at the mo, we've got our review appointment next week but other than that, it's just a case of waiting til the autumn to try again. Got a few things planned for the summer though to keep us occupied - we've just bought ourselves a new sofa and some new wardrobes so there's going to be a bit of house decorating and decluttering going on. :D

Hugs to everyone, especially PM (who deserves extra special massive ones) :) xxx

Still no AF. :( Now four days late. Wish it would hurry up and come. We have one more month to try, before cycle where we'll have IVF. All this is doing is delaying the IVF start!

AND, going on holiday tomorrow for two weeks. That's exactly why AF is waiting. Just waiting till I'm away. Rahhhhh!

Other than that, all well in the teapot household. :)

p.s. Was feeling glum about the BFN last night so necked half a bottle of wine. Then thought I really, really hope it's not a shy bean or I just drowned it!

pm - glad the GP gave you something and hope it works. x

Evening. Was due af today and did a test this morning but bfn. Feeling pretty sad about it as every cycle is a month older now I'm 42.

I've an appointment with the dr on Friday next week and will ask to be referred to fertility clinic but suspect they might not see me as I did have a missed mc last year just before I was due to go to clinic.

    Hugs to all. X
