Oh Floaty, I will never forget the time I got told by a colleague that she was going to be a Grandmother. She was so excited and I literally looked at her, said "how lovely" and ran away (to the toilets!!)
Its all about self preservation Im afraid - we've all been there.

Floaty, I've been there today too! I am a social worker and a family told me they are having another baby today, I really struggle with my job sometimes as I see neglected children all day and yet their mums seem to have no problem having more, life is not fair.

Last night DH got a message from his ex-wife who he hasn't spoken to for a good few years now. She had a baby in March. :eek:

Fabulous. My cousin has just emailed a scan photo to announce she's pregnant with her second. I'm trying to be happy but all I want to do is have a massive tantrum and scream that its not fair.

Feel like a horrid friend at the moment, one of my very close friends had a baby last month and I've yet to go and visit them even though they live literally just 5 minute walk away. I just can't do it, and to tell the truth I think she has guessed I'm having problems with it too.


Got to get over this.


The last 3 status updates showing on facebook timeline are 'bloke going on about his babies vomit' , woman going on about how wonderful her baby is and breast feeding'. woman going on about children cuddles in bed. I want all of that!

I almost don't want to post this, I feel awful as I've only just joined you ladies, but I'm hoping that it will bring a little hope to those of you who, like me are unexplained...

So, I gave in this morning and bought a test (I dropped DH off for breakfast with his mates and thought I'd sneak one in whilst I could!)

I'm in shock...

I got that extra line (I thought I was seeing things). I'm now shaking and have to appear normal, I've got no hope!

This is 4years in the making, 4years of heartache, tears, tests, longing, jealousy. Please, please ladies don't give up.

I feel terrible, but you've all been so welcoming I didn't want to just disappear....

Thank you PM, I was so worried about upsetting everyone but I know that there are some ladies who are in the same boat as us and was hoping to give them some hope that it really can happen
