  • Very sad :(

I feel bad asking a question now :(

I'm using OPKs for the first time. Do I really have to keep my wee in for 4 hours?! I'm really struggling. And reducing fluid intake? I pretty much sip on a drink most of the day. This morning I had a wee at 09.30 and one cup of water. By 12.30 I needed a wee, by 1pm I was dancing around the house and had to go at 1.15, there was no way I could've lasted another 15 mins!

I've also been trying BBT, not going well either! Alarm goes off at 6.20 but I've been waking up around 5am some mornings, or LO has been coming in before the alarm and he would be far too interested in the thermometer, or I've been waking around 4am...

All seems I bit of a nightmare, I can see why people get stressed :)

Really sad to read that story, some families get more than their share of tragedies :( hope things look up for them with more los soon..

Air cooled 75 - it's a while now since I used opks but I don't think you have to wait exactly 4 hrs! A little less, if you're really bursting is fine I think. Have the OPK sticks been working for you?

I'm 10dpo today and I think and I tested but got a BFN :(( was soooo convinced it would be a BFP as well, I've been getting sharp twinges and stitch like feelings in my pelvic area and it feels really tender there so that it's irritating to have the waistbands of my undies and trousers there. Feeling very pre periody as well

Also (tmi) got smelly wee which I've heard is a preg symptom?? Hmmm so confused I've never been this sure I was pregnant before - must be something in it??

Anyway will leave it a few days (if I can) then test again

Hope everyone else is well! Kelly can you update me to 10 dpo please, or 11dpo tomorrow thanks x
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

    Hi all

Sorry - it certainly wasn't intended to drag this thread down, I just felt I had to share it and you lovely lot seemed the best bunch to share it with.

I really do wish them well for the future and hope they are coming to terms with both losses.

AFM - woken up to see that a friend of 34 years has given birth over night - we've not been close for about 5 years as our lives took different directions but it's hard for me to feel truly happy for them as she's not been faithful to her husband shortly after they were married and she had a "party hard" lifestyle before - totally the opposite to us but clearly that's the cards I've been dealt so I'll handle it.

Life can be so crapola sometimes and I'm not normally a jealous person at all but struggling today.

Really hoping for some fantastic news on here today to pick me up - you lot have no idea how lovely you are and how much you've supported me over our 15 month journey so far - thank you

    Much love and hugs
    Gelly

Just delurking to say no you dont need to hold your pee.

I think the main idea is that your urine isnt too diluted.

I found I could pee - totally forget to pee on an opk, but then say pee 30 mins later after having a small drink and Id still get a reliable result.

I would honestly not bother altering your behaviour that much, if youre ovulating I think the hormone shows up regardless. I started off like you and after several months of doing them did what I liked, and it had no effect. Just try not to like drink too crazily! :)

I found BBT very reliable, it doesnt matter if you skip some days, so just put in the times and results that you get and overall you should get a pattern. Your temp really jumps after ovulating so you will know.

Exactly the same for me - I'm psyching myself up to be told that I've stopped ovulating as I'm too old:eek:
