Progesterone was low (low 20s) so going to be retested at cd21, then also cd25. Once that's confirmed one way of another we'll look at next steps.
Can I ask a couple of clomid questions? Can GP prescribe it or does it need to be a fertility specialist? Are there BMI limits on who can take it?
TIA
Hi honey hugs .
My clomid was via fertity clinic I think different regions have different bmi limits but my first pack did say that if you were over a certain bmi then no treatment would be offered xxxIf you can think it........it will happen0 -

Updated the first post a tiny bit (didn't update any of the users or graduates this time - just added info). Can anyone who feels like it look over it and tell me what you think - good or bad? Does anything need to be added/removed/worded differently?
Thanks in advance, and fingers tightly crossed that we all get our bfp's and forever babies soon!0 -
Thanks Mrs_T_M. I'm new to the thread so I must confess, I don't really know what was in the first post before off by heart. So I'll let someone else comment on that. How do I get my name in the members list? Got a question about it though... You mention going for a preconception check up with a GP, has anyone done this? And what did they check? My GP took my implant out a month ago and just said "see you in antenatal clinic soon", he didn't seem at all interested in checking anything or giving me any advice.
Got another question (I feel like a million and one things are on my mind now that we're actually going to start trying)... I know there are certain foods I should avoid once pregnant. Should I be avoiding them now just in case I do get pregnant in the next week or two, or just once I get that BFP?? It's so confusing...Mother, wife, scientist, analyst.

Sorry I haven't been posting, just been plodding on life.
Hugs to Gelly x
Mouthscradle - I personally don't give anything up in the tww, I don't go out and get blind drunk (i'm getting too old for that anyway) but I carry on as normal. TTC can be a long process for some and the pressure you can put yourself under can be horrendous. If I had to worry about having xyz during the TTW as well as all of the worry of if it has even worked then I wouldn't be here now. This is what I do though and everyone is different. You need to do what is best for you.
Fingers crossed for all those testing, its been days since the thread had any BFP's
Sorry if I have missed anything and hugs if you need them

Hi Moutshcradle
I didn't give anything up until I got my BFP then was really annoyed as we'd just bought some pate and soft cheese :rotfl:
Just have what you want as there's no point depriving yourself until you have to.
Anyone heard from Credit Crunchie yet, I'm sure she was due to test soon.

I had one, but it was in amongst other things. Mine was basically a test for any std's, a blood check for iron levels, thyroid check, and blood sugar check - don't know if the blood checks were part of the preconception thing or something else though. And my GP spoke to me about my weight (my BMI is 46 - but he was ok with us trying still, just explained that we wouldn't be eligible for any fertility treatments if we ended up needing them until my bmi was below 30). That was pretty much it. It also lets you ask any questions about things or about how things work in your area in regards to possible treatments, if they should be needed.
I'm not giving up anything until I get another BFP. I'm still limiting my coffee, and I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, don't like pate, runny eggs, or raw seafood, so no worries there. The only reason I don't drink now is that it makes me quite sick now, even with only 1-2 sips! Thanks Mrs T M - if you get a chance, can you please change mine to

Will do.
Anyone else want adding? All you need to do is ask, and if possible, do as these two have done and write out your username, age (if you want us to know), what number you're trying for, when you started ttc, and if you've had any losses along the way. All of it is optional of course, and it just gives other users a bit to associate with a person, even if they don't post often.0 -
Thanks Mrs T_M

Thanks for thinking of me mogwai but no celebration for me - am most definately out for this month, starting spotting yesterday and AF arrived with a vengence this morning - quite painful so lucky to have already booked the day off work today! Thats makes me CD1 today (friday). My cycle was shorter by 2-3 days this month which is a bit weird but let's see what next month brings. Hope everyone is well and good luck to anyone coming up to testing....did you test again mogwai or have you managed to resist so far?
I haven't been to see the GP about TTC as think they would see it as a waste of time - I'm not overweight and don't smoke and am not on any medication so think I'd just be told 'go have s*x and come back when you're pregnant'. If only it was that easy hey!
Can I join the front page too please Mrs_TM - about time I was part of the gang officially since I don't think the BFP is going to come along as easily as I had hoped!

Happy weekend!0
