Ah, stretegic peeing - I know it well! I realised I drink more in the morning, so try and test when I get back home from work providing I haven't needed to go just before leaving. The glamorous side of TTC eh!

LOL! Yeah, it's only when you actually do it that you realise how unglamorous it is! I've been doing it into a big plastic cup, and I was sitting looking at it yesterday thinking how crazy is this??!! Still no positive OPK...anxious to see it positive so that I know that they actually work (and that I'm actually ovulating!!) Going by recent cycles, I would prevent that I should get a positive some time between now and the weekend. Fingers crossed!!

Time to send some "interesting" texts to OH to encourage him to return home, perhaps?! :p Needs must and all that!

Hahahahaha the only time that ever worked was when he went to Ireland for a week! The problem is he will get too hot to continue (IYKWIM) so it's pretty much pointless doing it to make a baby (don't get me wrong, it's still fun!)

Spoke to him last night about potentially starting to use OPKs and he said not to bother. He's still in the mindset that it's very early days and "most couple conceive in a year". I don't want to conceive in a year, I want it NOW!

Maybe that's why I'm so calm this month, because deep down I know it won't happen? my CM is saying this week is the time to DTD but OH is insistent that if we do it Saturday we will be in a chance.

I think the man needs to realise that 3 times a month does not give you a good chance!!!

  • sorry for you news devildolly :(

lulu my oh was of the mindset that it'll happen when it happens too. I did however make sure that he was 'seduced' quite a few times around when I thought OV would be ;)

Haha, well at least you know the texting works when you really need it! Even if he does get too excited to continue (know exactly what you mean)...

It's so hard - I can understand his relaxed attitude in "most people conceive in their first year", that's how OH and I were when we first started last December, then caught straight away. But now, we're several cycles in and I'm OPK'ing. I'm very much with you, I don't want it within the next year, I want it now - so my logic is use the OPK's so you stand a better chance! I know some people say it means you stress more, but for me it means I fret less knowing that I haven't ovulated yet and haven't missed it.

It seems to me that this is part of the problem with having it drummed into you when you're younger that if you have sex, you *will* getting pregnant... It makes people so blase later on in life that you only need to DTD a couple of times a month, whenever, and DING! When in reality, it's anything but...

Stay positive though, lulu - don't lose faith. When I caught last December, I had vague knowledge of my cycles and was convinced we had DTD far too late... apparently we hadn't!
