  • Well I am now very confused with my cycle, I've only been off the pill 2 months, but AF appears last month precisely 28days after coming off the pill, so was hoping things wld settle down quite quickly. However this month, for the past 2-3 days I've had a small amount of spotting each day but it started on CD24, so very confused....I recon I shld be due AF on Friday, so we'll see!

Evening everyone :) I think I'm 3DPO but as I'm doing tempting for now, I'm not actually entirely sure :o I also think we may have missed it this month, but trying not to stress out about it all.

Hope everyone is feeling okay this evening :)

Cheers Claire_A87 Did anyone else come off the pill straight into their typical/normal cycle or was it a bit erratic at first then settle down? Puzzled, but I suppose in a few months I'll spot a pattern :p

I had my mirena coil removed (so hormone enhanced I suppose) and my cycles were all over for the first 3 months. I had 23 days, 18 and then 32. I think I'm back to 28 ish now. Don't worry about the pains too much, I've had them this month at around 4-5 days before ov, been temping too.

  • I spoke to my gp today to let her know I am pregnant but because I had some bleeding a couple of weeks ago she wants me to do another test a week from today to check that I am still pregnant and it isn't an early miscarriage :(. If it is still positive I have got to go to epu for a scan to see wwhat's going on.

Has anyone else had anything similar?

    Hi! Can I join?

We already have a DD -8 and a DS nearly 4 so I know that we are amazingly blessed already but would love to be able to complete the family with a #3

Been on the pill for about 14 years apart from when I came off it to have my children. With both pregnancies I conceived about 3/4 months after coming off the pill and had a roughly 28 day cycle but my cycle is taking longer to get back to normal this time so I don't really have any idea when I should be ovulating or not and not tracking or temping or anything at the moment just wait and see method.

Came off the pill at the end of May and my cycles so far have been 30, 26, 34 and 19! The 19 one really confused me!

    Should be CD11 today x

Mrssippi I had that about 6 weeks in I had brown bleeding and they sent me to the epu but thankfully everything was fine.
In my case it was because it was a twin pregnancy and the second one didn't make it.

The epu told me everything was fine and to come back only if I had enough bleeding to fill a pad. Fingers all will be ok for you, i think bleeding in the first trimester is quite common..xx
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

  • Thanks for the replies. I was just wondering - I took a pg test for the first time after I had been bleeding and it was negative (probably because it was to early to detect anything) then the bleeding stopped (it was never heavy), I took another test and it was positive. Could it still be ammiscarriage?

Could the bleeding have been implantation Mrs Sippi? Generally it would be the other way round with a miscarriage, you would get positive tests and then negative.

Hi White as snow and welcome! Hope your cycles settle down.

Hippi - Could have been implantation bleeding?

I am 10dpo here, did test this morning and negative but didn't get bfp till 13dpo last time so prob too early anyway.

Cheers for the responses girls. I have decided to keep a note of everything that I notice so I know what's going on next cycle. I have caved and bought a thermometer and IC OPK (go me with the acronyms!) for next month- I didn't do it earlier as I was worried i'd get a bit obsessed! But it would've been the sensible thing to do rather than second guessing everything!

Yesterday the whole day my sense of smell was crazy! Everything smelled strong (or revolting!), it was most unusual. Googled it and this is a sign of ovulation (so you can sniff out a man !!)

Anyways last night (after 3 full days of cramps) I got a severe stabbing pain as I stood at the sink. It made me double over, but I think it must have been an egg popping out my left ovary. Which would make more sense at CD12 (yesterday).
Grateful for no cramps today so far just really really thirsty!

Hope everyone is doing ok x
