Thanks to everybody yesterday for their input on the luteal phase stuff!

11dpo today. No period yet, but still having the odd twinge that suggests it might be on its way. Took another test this morning, completely negative.

Has anybody got experience with the Tesco cheap tests (2 in a box for £3.50) and how quickly they might pick up positives?

I come off my withdrawal later on today - silly question but shall I DTD? Or shall I wait until tomorrow?

Unless you happen to ovulate in the next few days (unlikely if just coming off), then it makes no difference TTC wise. Just have fun ! If you want to be able to time your DTD for optimising conception chances, then you really need to start tracking your cycle somehow, either OV tests, or temping.

Thanks Wendz, we have our first appt a week today after chasing the referral up three times! Dh's second lot of results weren't great but not sure what that means if anything as his first lot were ok/borderline. Feeling a bit mixed about it all really!

Our friends had a beautiful baby boy yesterday, saw a pic today and can't wait to have a munch!

That's good you have an appointment shrimpy. Sounds a bit confusing about your dh's results.

Musogirl - most tests aren't great till you are due af. I have heard super drug ones and first response are better for early testing.

After 2 days of Ewcm I think ovulation is imminent but no positive opk yet.

Evening all!

Well, I'm Jo, I've been on this website for years although away and don't comment so much anymore but that's been down to the job really. However, fingers crossed I can change that and I guess I'm joining the thread! I just got married a month ago, and whilst we aren't explicitly TTC, we aren't actively doing much to prevent and neither of us would be upset at falling pregnant. We are both cracking on in years so it's not like we want to wait a really long time or anything, but we are in a bit of transitional period (I'm about to start my final OU course, he is looking to make the move from the forces to civvie land in 18 months, my job is just ****ing ridiculous (excuse my language); we are probably looking at buying a house next year when we have a clearer idea of what OH will do on the outside and where my job is going to put me... The list goes on!) so it could be a bit stressful if it were to happen'

Anyway; I digress! I've been tracking my AF's for a few years now on an iPhone app so I have a really good idea of when they are supposed to turn up, and I've bought some ovulation sticks off amazon, although I've yet to out a coherent tracking plan together for that. I'm now due in 2 days according to the tracker but my cycle has varied in the last 5 months between 24 and 32 days - most likely stress related. I guess I should probably go to page one of the thread and start familiarising myself with the terms and wait till I start AF and then that's day 1 right?
