musogirl295 - I had a 10 day lp before we caught with Dale, so it is possible to get pregnant with one that short. Since we lost her, I have been taking various vitamins every day, one of which is a B-complex (the B6 is what you're really after, but the complex makes sure your levels of the others don't get out of balance). I don't know if it was being pregnant and losing Dale that did it, or the vitamins, but after we lost her, I would have a 14 day lp. 5 months after losing her (and 3 cycles), we caught again with our current pregnancy. Don't give up! :) If you're ever concerned with anything though, speak to your GP. That's what they are there for! :)

That is good your friend is supportive! Don't get me wrong I get jealous etc especially since the miscarriage but I am very grateful I already have one daughter and am trying to be optimistic that it will happen again even if it takes a bit of time :).

Muso - I think Kira who got BFP recently took agnus catcus which is supposed to help with short lp. Might be worth looking into.
  • I had what I think was a 14/15 day LP on agnus castus last month - can't be entirely sure when I ov'd as I don't temp. I was taking 2000mg a day (2 tablets...seemed like a lot but packet said to take 1-2). I carried on taking it this month and am still taking 1 a day since ov (don't get me started on the literature regarding whether to take it after ov or not!). I've heard good things, but hopefully I won't be able to tell you what my LP has been this month as I'll never find out!

Yep. I've used Agnus Castus for my slightly short LP before both my BFP's. For #1 my LP was about 10 days, and i got it to 12/13 days in about 3 months. This time from 11 to 12 days in 2 months. If you are just coming off the pill, or preparing to start trying in a few months, then the pills are fine. If you are in a hurry, and actively trying now, recommend looking for a liquid form, as it gets absorbed more quickly.
Also, if you are actively trying, then stop taking the AC once you suspect ovulation.

Back from my Holibobs now as you can see, so can post a bit more.

For those who havent looked at it yet, I would REALLY recommend having a read of SMEP. This was our first month of trying SMEP and it seems to have worked.
I also use the Clear Blue dual hormone ov test, alongside my IC tests. It really helped determine my real OV peak. Def recommend them!

    Hi all,

Well DF and I get married next month. We have decided to start trying this month. I have been experiencing period pains, sore breasts, tiredness and needing to wee more often and part of me thought pregnancy was a possibility. I tested before but got BFN. I visited the dr Yday who has booked me in for a scan as I experienced pain during sex.

Whilst being examined the dr advised I have a tilted womb and after looking this up many of the symptoms I have can be down to this.

I have ordered a thermometer which will be here tomorrow and I will begin temping Saturday morning.

We're very excited and hopeful. I have 1 DD (7) from a previous relationship, and had a mc before having DD.

Please could I be added to the list? I'm 29, and am currently on cd 11. Thank you :)
