Lilian - cd7 does sound high, but the first cycle will be a bit ott. The machine knows your hormones are raised but it doesn't know how high they will go. So once it knows that then your high might be later next cycle.
Tip: For the first cycle put a stick in everytime it asks. From the second cycle onwards stop feeding it sticks as soon as you get a peak. When you get a peak, the machine doesn't read the sticks it just automatically gives you a second peak day, then a high, then back to lows.
By doing this, once the machine knows your cycle, then you will use less sticks. Some cycles I only use 6!
Doing the above won't affect the results in any way.0 -
Forgot to say, don't worry if u don't get a peak on the first cycle either, neither you or the cbfm are broken!
Again it's just because it doesn't know how high your hormones will go.0 -

Thank you. The box says that you have to use sticks from the same box, is that just a way to get you to buy more boxes then? As the box I bought from Ebay said it had 20 in but actually only had 17 so I'd assumed the 7 were unusable? My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Reflexology sounds sooo relaxing i think i could do with something like that myself, its another cost though and I really cant afford it and finding the time to do it. I did an online quiz the other day it said at the end I was probably severely depressed and should get help, i think it came out with a result like that because i am stressed about ttc and hate my job and stuff and I was brutaly honest with my answers,

The reflexology was lovely, if only for spending an hour or so laid on her consulting bed propped up by fluffy cushions and unloading my worries. My feet didn't feel any different afterwards but I just felt calmer in myself.
I'm certainly not one to go for the alternative therapy route - quite the opposite in fact but my Mum often has it and swears by it so I had the taster session - having conceived after that, I decided it's certainly worth another go and I will be going back again next cycle.
It's not something I'd do all the time - it's £45 per hour (she did spend 1.5 hours with me last night but I had a voucher for £10 off first treatment plus I used cash I got for my birthday at the weekend, towards it so it was a treat for me.
ttc39 - we're not that far from you - we're in Hemel Hempstead and the reflexologist I saw was in St. Albans but I have found a few up your way - not that I'm recommending them but worth a look and perhaps a treat for yourself....

Thanks Gelly. Maybe I've been a bit hard on myself. I've gone down the route of getting on with things and trying to look on the positive side. I possibly haven't 'allowed' myself to grieve properly. I think it's made worse given my age, as time is definitely not on my side so I'm worried about that too.
I might look into reflexology. It's not something I have ever had before but it sounds lovely and relaxing.
I had a lovely lunch out with OH today but now I need to get on with the housework. :-)
Love to all. X0 -
I do indeed think you've been too hard on yourself.
A couple of the things I discussed at reflexology last night was my worry about my age (just turned 35) and that I don't feel like I've needed to "grieve" as such - yes I'm upset and disappointed as they stopped developing at about 6.5 weeks and it wasn't until 8.5 weeks that we found out but I've only had tears a few times immediately afterwards and have just got back on with things.
She said that the same thing happened to her years ago and that it actually hit her some time later so don't rule it out - just go with the flow with the support of everybody around you...and that includes us!!!
So glad you had a lovely lunch out today - I've also got housework to do tonight but ours is a tip as we've had the plasterer in for the last 2 days. When we found out we were expecting, we got on with the work that needed doing as we had a "timescale" to work to - I'm a planner by nature so we wanted to make sure everything would be nice for when baby(ies) arrived.
Have a lovely soak in the bath tonight and enjoy a glass of wine with your hubby - you deserve it!
