musogirl - thanks! I guess it's just a waiting game :) I need to look at all the things such as ovulating and how to tell - I'm such a newbie at all of this :o

Hello slowlyfading, I am a total newbie too! My cycles seem to be slightly shorter than 28 days so I am ensuring this month I dtd a little earlier that 2 weeks after cd1. I have been using the Pink Pad app to record bleeds etc and I think it has been good at keeping me right. Apparently you actually ovulate 2 weeks before the first day of your next period (I think?!!!) Pink Pad says I am ovulating tomorrow and I had a little CM this morning. DTD last night and am planning to do it again tomorrow. Tempting to go home tonight and do it as well but I don't want to stress OH out as it makes him very tense and nervous making dtd difficult at times!!

  • Hey

We are currently trying for baby number 2.

Just for info - not everyone ovulates mid cycle

If you want to chart your cycle this is a great website that explains it all

    http://www.nfpta.org.uk/tutorials.html

I charted temp and mucus when trying to conceive first baby it took 5 months.

I had a period 40 days after stopping pill, but cycles were rubbish for about 8 months, I would have a short luteal phase which means you are unlikely to become pregnant.

We used condoms as contraception since having first baby so hormones of pill didn't mess with my cycles.

    Good luck to everyone :D

My clock is ticking very loudly, so i'm going all out this month!
We are giving the SMEP a go, so started Ov testing yesterday, even though my Pink Pad app says not for another 5-6 days, and the alternate days DTD has started. I've invested in the "super" ov tests, that give you your peak 4 days, not just the 2 from the LH spike. Along with my pregnacare, also taking Agnus Castus as my LP seems to have shortened a bit as my cycle has changed from 29 to 27 days. Also taking chesty cough syrup to help with my CM.
BFN this month won't be for the lack of trying!

Kira000 are you using the clear blue super ov tests? Do't know if you've read about them but they don't work like normal ov tests, the 1st one you do will always be negative, as a baseline level, when you get a flashy smiley face to indicate raised oestrogen you will get that everyday until it detects a LH spike when it will turn to a solid face, but if the LH spike isn't very high it will stay flashing forever! This is what happened to me last cycle, no solid flashy face, but I had a scan which showed I had ov'd phoned them up & they explained all this to me & they sent me 10 tests for free, turns out i def did ov as i got my BFP 2 weeks later! Just wanted to explain as they are so expensive but really good for pinpointing, I only used 4 the 1st month i used them. I also got them on ebay, saved quite a bit. Hope that helps. Good luck ladies!

  • CD1 for me please :( Now going into month 9 of TTC. Rapidly heading for double digits of time.....not a milestone I hoped to achieve. Why is it that we do everything OPKs, BBT charting, DTD at the right time, raising my hips (!), supplements etc.....but still nothing?!?!!! Sorry, rant over.....

Thanks for doing the lists kellykins

    Anyone testing soon?
  • Sorry to hear that snapping crocodile. Big hugs. Tested again this morning, BFN so just waiting for AF to arrive now.

Welcome to all the newbies. Good luck!

    Hi ladies,

For those of you who are temping, what thermometers do you use? I have just done a quick search and a few have had bad reviews and I don't want to waste my money on something that isn't accurate!

    Thanks in advance x
