Hi
Just delurking to further respond to Snapping that Dh and I both started taking conception vitamins and the same month I got my BFP. Whether it was the attitude and the vitamins or the vitamins or just the attitude that did it we'll never know. I got the vitamins from Healthspan.
Lots of babydust your way ladies xx
Thank youIt sounds as if relaxing is the way to go. However I fear things have been complicated for me slightly
I went to the GP last week about a problem with my leg so he ran routine bloods. I got called back today and told I have hyperthyroidism! So completely unexpected as I haven't had any symptoms. Waiting for an appointment with the endocrinologist now. Really worried I'm never going to get my BFP now!
Has anyone got any experiences of TTC with hyperthyroidism?

Hello all, Can I be put down as 2DPO from tomorrow please? Bit of a stab in the dark as I had 3 continuous days of a positive OPK but going to run with that and hope that BDing on fri, sat and mon will be enough. On to the 2ww!
Sorry to hear some people are having weird cycles - I'm frustrated that I'm on month 6 of trying but my cycles do seem regular to an extent. Hope you get some answers soon ThinkPink.0 -

Hi missy. I'm, taking mine throughout my cycle apart from during AF. I did a lot of reading into and I think depending on the result you want from the AC would impact how you take it. For me I have a short LP so want to increase my progesterone in my LP. So that's why I am taking it throughout. I read somewhere that stopping at OV could be too dramatic a drop in progesterone for someone who likely has low progesterone, so that's why I am taking it throughout.
It is also safe to take in the first trimester of pregnancy and I read some anecdotal stories of midwives recommending ladies to continue taking it through the first trimester and just wean themselves off, again, because the drop in progesterone could be harmful.
I think it's really up to you how you take it and if you are getting the results you want from the way you are taking it then that's great. I'm still on my first month taking it so nothing to report yet. It can take up to 3 months though for the effects to be seen. For those who take agnus cactus, what dose do you take? I heard the ideal is 200mg+ and the stuff in Boots etc doesn't do anything cos it's about 4mg? Found some on Amazon but it's 100mg.
Hey sulphate, I've also done some reading on this too!! The stuff you get in boots will be pants. So don't bother it is nowhere near a high enough a dose. This article was really helpful in helping to understand dosages. http://julietocallaghan.wordpress.com/2013/02/21/agnus-castus-and-pms-dont-buy-it-from-boots-or-holland-barrett-if-you-actually-want-it-to-work/
I got mine off of Amazon and it is the Nature's Aid brand. It is 100mg of berry extract which is equivalent to 1000mg of dried berries. I think the recommendation is to take up to 2000mg dried berry per day. So if you took 2 of the tablets a day that I have from Amazon you would get that dose. I only take 1 a day at the moment to see if that has an effect, if it doesn't I shall up it.
Re taking after OV etc, see above my answer to missy. I think this is really up to the individual person and there is no right or wrong answer, do your research and decide what feels right for you.
Hope that helps!
AFM - CD18 today and FF has me as 7DPO. I've tried temping this month and I think it was going ok but I have one very strange temperature that shot up really high. I think this might be because I had a drink the night before. Would alcohol increase my BBT?? I only have dotted lines on FF as it says it can't be 100% sure. On advanced method it has me OV on CD11, the day I got a +ve OPK, but on FAM it says CD15. So I'm not sure. I didn't continue OPK testing after the +ve. Can any of you charting experts take a look for me and let me know your thoughts? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/wegle0 -

If you take out the temp spike on last Saturday (CD 14) does it make a difference? I'd go with the +OPK, but you usually ov within 24 hours after a +OPK, which means you probably ov'd on CD 12. Hope I haven't confused you too much!
My mom lands in the country tomorrow afternoon, so please forgive me if the lists are a bit haphazard on what time they are posted! They will get done every day, I just don't know when!0 -

Thanks Mrs_T_M, if I discard it, it just stays the same, dotted lines with OV on CD11. I've had a little play around and it seems that it was my CM that was confusing it. I rarely get EWCM so I think I won't chart this anymore. Once I had removed the two C recordings for CM it changed to solid line on CD11. It also stays there if I switch to FAM, so it's definitely my messed up CM that was putting it off.
Hope you have a great time with your mummsie!0 -

Yeah, FF doesn't seem to know how to handle cm! :rotfl: Glad you got it sorted though.
I'm really looking forward to taking mom to the Cathedral to see the peregrine chicks (well, they aren't really chicks any more!) that live there. They should be starting to fledge soon, so hopefully she will get to witness it!0 -

Thank you for this wegle, very useful! It's so difficult to know what's right and wrong and what is best for each person, but I think what is most reassuring is that there are few, if any side effects, so that's got to be a good thing. My OH shot me a look of warning when my order arrived as he asked if I'm sure I should be taking them, but the way I see it is it can't hurt to try.0 -
Missy - I read somewhere that the only reason it says not to take while pregnant or breastfeeding is that no research has actually been done into the effects (if any) taking AC at these times would have, therefore they err on the side of caution and advise not to take it. Be warned though I read that on the internet and can't remember where so am unable to source check it, so it could be a load of old twoddle!0
