Morning ladies. Well I'm not quite CD1 yet, but suspect I will be later on in the day. Spotting started this morning and I've got my usual cramps

I know going into month 6 of TTC is not long compared to some of you but I'm getting so frustrated. We BD at the right times each month and still nothing happening and I'm not getting any younger :mad: Are there any ladies lurking who have got their BFP who can share anything different they did the month they conceived?

I'm 35 and will be 36 when sproglet appears. I was getting frustrated too and wondering when it would happen as we were on our 5th month of trying however I just though f*ck it if it's going to happen it's going to happen and due to my age I knew that after the next month if no BFP we could head to the doctors. I didn't temp or use OPKs and I actually didn't even bother looking on my app to find out when the best time was, it was a case of dtd when we felt like it which was 3 days in a row and that was a success.

It was a great weight lifted just going with the flow, I even had a tattoo done a week before I found out I was pregnant and marked No to could you or do you think you are pregnant as I was not bothered either way.

I did lie still afterwards though for about 20 minutes on the off chance but we had fun and that was the main thing that helped I think.

I don't know if the above is a load of drivel or helpful :rotfl:.

Hi snapping I agree with Alioops, the previous month I over thought everything and depressed myself when I didn't get my BFP, last month I really relaxed didn't count anything just went with the flow, didn't look at the app or anything, only realised I hadn't had af at about 8 pm as I was putting lb to bed so tested and nearly fell over as I completely expected a bfn, Hth I know it's easier aid then done but maybe have a month off so to speak xx

Nicky, Boots do a version called Balance Active, I have been using it. Obviously it hasn't worked for me but not sure how fair it is to base an opinion on that! I have ordered some Conceive Plus from Amazon - although it never arrived. I checked my account and it was delivered to my neighbours (over a month ago) and I'm now too embarrassed to go and pick it up in case they've opened it! Trying to bribe OH as he has no shame!

snapping - That is exactly how I feel, we are now going in to our 6th month ttc. It's the fact of wanting something so bad and that massive disappointment you feel when it doesn't happen.


AFM, tested and a BFN this morning I kind of expected it, but it's still always horrible seeing one line. No more testing for me this month, I'll just wait for AF as I'm sure she'll be here soon!


I'd like to say that I could take a month off tracking and monitoring and I may just do that, but perhaps I'll just use my diary or calendar to track the length of my cycle and not bother with looking for my fertile window. DH and I laughed the other night because we were both so tired but felt we had to DTD as we didn't want to miss a chance. I said to him I don't think it will happen like this as our hearts aren't it, but in a way perhaps that's right... all this stressing, it's like a chore and we know how boring and mundane those are


Right, that's my target for next cycle then! Who else is with me to do the same?? A fertility-friend-free month!

I'll do that with you! Don't know if I should try to get DH to bd more often, or if I should just leave it be. The month we fell pregnant, we only bd'd once the entire month!

Thank you to everyone for your words of wisdom. May try the relaxed approach this month. I'll still temp but may lay off the OPKs and see if that helps my state of mind!

Sorry for BFN Missy Moo. I agree, it's so upsetting wanting your body to do something that is supposed to be so natural, and your body having other ideas

Could I be updated to CD2 please Mrs_T_M? As expected AF started properly yesterday, although doesn't seem to be as heavy as usual. Does anyone know why it is sometimes heavy and sometimes light?
