Well, we officially started trying last night. Have to admit I think we both felt a bit weird about it. BD-ing has always been because we were horny in the past and last night it felt a bit like we ought to be doing it... I hadn't really considered that before. I think husband felt the same, once it was over we were both a bit "Oh, well, it's done now..." And went to sleep.


Husband then woke me about 2 hours later horny as anything so we did it again, and it definitely felt more fun!!


I haven't read the whole of this thread, and I'm sure there is talk earlier on, but I'm looking for tips on what to do straight after the BD-ing. Do people really sit with their legs in the air to help gravity?? I tried to just keep tense for a while and keep it in. I did have to get up eventually tho and clean myself up a bit, woke up needing a really good shower this morning!!

CD1 for me today - feeling poop

Big welcome to the newbies! I try not to get up straight after BD-ing but have read that 15-20 mins of staying still should be ok and then do whatever you would usually do. Others suggest not getting up until the next day but I always need a wee - so glamarous!

CD1 for me today please. Just as got up this morning. It has been a very strange length of cycle. I should have guessed it would be today though cos I'm going swimming this morning.
I managed another run last night but my legs are sore today.
Fingers crossed for you this month mogwai. Especially after your husbands best efforts.

Just a quick question to you ladies using opk tests. Do your lines come up really dark when you do the tests?? I started my af on the 3rd of this month, so started testing with the opk tests on the 10th just to make sure I never missed the ovulation, but that test on the 10th was the darkest line I have ever had, and going by my app on my phone and cycle lengths, it shouldnt be my ov date until tomorrow?? But been having very faint lines if any been coming up at all? Not sure whats going on at all, but been doing the deed every other day, to hopefully catch it one way or another! Any help or advice would be appreciated x

Hi Sedement,

Just delurking to offer my advice - hope it helps...

Using the OPKs, go by when they give you a dark second line as they are detecting a surge in your hormones which should you are ovulating. This often gets darker over a couple of days but when it's properly dark is when you ovulate.

I found that quite often, apps on phones and FF were wrong by a few days and we'd missed the opportunity.

Thanks looba, at least my OH will be off the hook if we are lucky this month!

I used OPKs this month and I didn't get a very dark line, but just the day before ovulation I got the darkest lines. The others were all pretty faint, I don't think everyone 'builds up' in line strength, some just have dark lines on the day. This is how it was for me a couple of yrs ago too when trying for ds. Hth

Well, I haven't updated cause I'm waiting for my CD1/AF - really frustrated now cause once I start we can start trying, grrr!!!

Never wanted AF before ever but now I do! The irony!! I thought I was CD1 today but turns out I wasn't starting?!!!

My body just needs to chill out and do its thing but the wait is so frustrating!!!!!!
