Hi everyone,
I'm an avid reader of this forum and thought it was about time I joined in. I am a 28 year old mummy to 3 boys and wife to a man who let's me get away with most things!
I have decided to start a happiness project for 2014 where I hope to totally change my way of living, spending, eating etc. We are around £2000 in debt which we pay at least £100 a month to, luckily it is all on 1 credit card which is 0% for the next 28 months.
I'm very lucky we can afford for me to be a stay at home mum as hubby has his own company and works very hard but that also means he can sometimes works 7 days a week.
My main goals for 2014 are to pay as much off the debt as possible whilst still enjoying life, bake more, organise the home, exercise more, be more patient with the kids and just pretty much enjoy life with my wonderful little family.
Here's to being totally organised.........................

Ok just grabbed a quick shower and bathed the baby, checked my online credit card account and realised total debt was £2070.34 so I have just paid £70.34 to round it down nicely to £2000.
So accomplishments for today are as follows:
Debt - paid £70.34
Exercise - completed day 2 of 30 day shred
Baking - I backed chocolate brownies yesterday so I will count that!
Organise the home - nothing
Tomorrow my smallest duckling and I have our weekly music/toddler group then I'm planning on home for lunch and making a start on decluttering my wardrobe.0 -

Hi and thank you. I'll have a sneak through your diary, if you have one, this evening.
Well I have decluttered our bedroom this afternoon. 1 bin bag of rubbish and 4 bin bags of clothes for charity  I have also decluttered my smallest ducklings bedroom and managed to fit his clothes that are to small into a box and under our bed ready for a baby sale we are planning to do. Feeling a lot less cluttered inside now I know our bedroom is sorted as it was the last big room to completely go through and reorganise. I have also bought a plastic basket to fit all our medicines in, at the moment they are all put on a shelf in 1 of our kitchen cupboards but I'm going to sort through it all and put everything neatly into the basket so it's easier to find what we are looking for and, again it should free up some space.
Put £40 petrol in the car this morning but that should be it spending wise. Oh and day 3 of the 30 day shred completed.

I'll subscribe to your diary and keep up to date with your progress.

Hi everyone
Mrs s - hope the decluttering went well
RBR - yes this is my first time trying the 30 day shred.....it's....um....hard work!!
Had a lovely weekend, had a friends little boys christening on Sunday which was a lovely day, nice to catch up with friends we don't get to see much. Been food shopping today and spent £71.45 also made my first batch of flap jacks tonight. They went down a treat with everybody so I'm going to try and bake some again this week and try adding cherries to a batch and also raisins for little duckling. Going to check my online banking in a mo and hopefully pay a bit more off the debt, won't be much but I suppose anything is better then nothing!0 -
Ok so just checked my bank and paid £50 off the debt.
I have a couple more direct debits to come out before pay day but hoping to pay another £50 before next payday.

Well done on the £50 payment - thats definately better than nothing!! Fingers crossed for you that you have the other £50 before payday too, that would be a nice extra £100 payment!
The decluttering of wardrobes went well, toys not so much so! Will tackle them this weekend probably!!

Good luck for this weekend mrs s, my attic is full of kids toys that really need sorting. Also have 2 of the boys birthdays in march and April so even more will be added to the house
we really need to do a nearly new baby sale as I have kept way too much stuff....whoops!
NSD today :j
Oh and received my medicine basket through the post yesterday and realised I needed another one so ordered another straight away! 2 should definitely be enough for all our bits though.0 -
Morning diary
Just sat having a cuppa after the school run so thought I would fill in my daily plans. Washing has been done so need to put hang it on radiators/airer in a min. Washing up needs to be done then it will be hoovering upstairs/downstairs, polishing upstairs/downstairs then I will jump in the shower quickly.
I'm thinking of starting up lane swimming at my local leisure centre. They have a crèche that I can take little duckling too which costs £1.50 for 39 mins. I can drop my older 2 off to breakfast club in the morning at 8am then head straight for swimming as the crèche opens at 9am. Lane swimming finishes at 9.55 so I could easily fit in a 39 min swim at least. Just need the confidence to actually go! I know I will enjoy it once I'm actually in the pool.
Anyway ds2 has karate after school so that will be £4.00 spent today, hoping not to spend anymore money today though.0
