Just got an e-mail from them confirming my application and giving me my reference number. The 10 working days countdown has been started from today.
Good luck mate0 -
I had to resend the email and used Window Live Mail to request a read receipt.
Thankfully they replied pretty quickly -
"Hello
Please accept our apologies. We are experiencing a high level of enquires and you will be contacted.
Kind regards
EE Executive Office"
Now doing the waiting game!0 -
I've sent the templates off etc had no reply yet0

Well after 18 days and 7 emails got my 1st reply and it stated no further discussion. Is it easy to negotiate CICAS.
I have 2 contracts do i need to fill in 2 seperate CICAS forms or just the one.
Thanks0 -
Now just received this from EE
Hello Lee,
Yes, we are changing the terms and conditions to mean that if we raise the price above the rate of inflation you can cancel.
It is within our rights to raise the price of your contract in line with the rate of inflation.
Thanks,

Thought they had canceled my contract then said no sim detected and wouldn't let me on to my EE now it's working again grrr lol0

Hi,
I sent off the first email on 13th and have sent 3 chaser emails with no response.
I have now received a voicemail from someone in the executive office asking me to call them back.
I'm not sure how to handle this as I don't feel as knowledgable about this as some of the people on this forum are and I am concerned I may put my foot in it if I enter into a debate on the phone!
Any advice as to what she may say and how I should respond would be most welcome!
Thanks!0 -
EE have probably realised their mistake now and RC is right in saying that this is now a case of damage limitation.0

So I had another phone call at my request.
Still no more details from the executive office my rep said. It was a very brief conversation with him saying he is trying to get an answer as the offer made yesterday is the best he can do. He has assured me I will get a call back tomorrow at 5. On the phone i quoted a comparable price tariff that 3 have on the HTC one (My phone) This has apparently been noted and I explained my reasons for quoting it. To protect myself i sent a follow up email as agreed with the rep. Below is the email.
Hi xxxx
Just wanted to send a quick follow up email after our conversation.
I am pleased that my case is now in the hands of someone who seems determined to achieve a resolution.
As I said on the phone, the equivalent price plan that I quoted to you is as follows....
"£36pm 5,000 texts + 5,000 same network minutes + 2,000 minutes + Unlimited data"
This is an offer from 3. On the same phone that I have with Orange.
As I am sure you can see this price plan is much better than the one I am currently on with you. I just wanted to make you aware what other companies are offering for the same money and further my point that the offer made yesterday was completely unacceptable to me.
I look forward to our conversation at 5 tomorrow, and hopefully you will have more answers for me. If by Thursday I have still not had anymore information I will be submitting a CISAS case application based on my original argument about a breach of terms and conditions, with a secondary argument of material detriment due to the CPI/RPI rates and the proposed solution which could leave me in even more of a material detriment.
As I am sure you are aware the OFCOM case ruled against companies cutting the amount of minutes and texts on a contract, however if I were to have accepted your offer yesterday and then there was a price rise, I would be pretty much paying my existing bill amount but for less minutes.
Thanks, speak tomorrow
xxxx

.......
Don't forget that the plan from 3 includes a phone!
You could get a penalty free cancellation, keep your current phone and go SIM only which would cost you about half of the £36.
Why not look for the best EE/Orange/TM sim only deal that you want and then tell them to switch you to that deal?
Good point re Ofcom considering allowance reductions equivalent a price increase0
