  • This is the fifth post expressing dissatisfaction with these people on the first two pages.
    Mike.
  • And it'll continue that way if people keep bumping them up to the top with posts that contain no content!

    Various issues.
No reminder to enter meter readings when bill is due. Seems like the responsibility is with customer to do this. How difficult is it to email reminders?
No bill produced for Dec 2013 and had to chase them online via their contact us button
Intermittent access to website as often down
Can't view recent bill in Jan 2014 though they say it takes a few days and it's been weeks!
Trying to get my total kw for year to compare but virtually impossible with their "online" - more like offline - service
Oh and try calling them and you can be in a queue for 40 minutes.
I tried to get a quote for my mum and the staff aren't familiar with the tariffs. Saying that there are so many it must be confusing for them so how are we supposed to work it out!

I know exactly where you're coming from, I've also had no reminders for meter reads, they billed me too early with an estimate over charged by £80 (did change this tho) and then rebilled ten days later for correct date! Am currently waiting for complaints dept to get in touch as I have already paid bill they sent early, not heard anything and now on day 2 of the five working days they will get in touch :mad:

The failure to provide reminders must be a patchy one. Mine have always come through, so far.
  • I cannot login again. When I attempt to login I am shown 2 identical accounts both say live and neither stay logged in for more than a few seconds before asking to login again. I got to the submit meter readings, entered them quickly and was immediately logged out.

SP certainly enjoy wasting people's time!
  • We've been with Scottish Power for years and never had a problem - Dual Fuel Economy 7, Monthly DD - but I just read this thread and decided to log on to our account. Funnily enough, I had been thinking that we should be due (or overdue) an email asking for meter readings which is probably why I clicked on the thread.

Logged on OK and found we had an estimated bill on 16th January 2014! Never been emailed asking for meter readings. Entered today's meter readings just to get up to date. I've downloaded all the available bills but the oldest I could access was April 2013 even though there is one showing for January 2013. I'm sure you used to be able to go back a lot further than that. Out of interest I clicked on "My messages", clicked on a message, all that comes up is a bill to be downloaded (which I've already done) not the message which wasn't about a bill by the way.

Bit naffed off about the estimated bill. As I say, never had a problem with SP in years which is why I don't check the account that often but I will now.

Hi after reading through the thread my situation is all too similar, I like to put in readings each mth but trying to receive a bill continues to be a 'pain', several emails required, never reply within 5 working days, suddenly I have had my actual readings disappear & become estimated. I am still trying to receive a bill for the readings I gave 03/01/14. I am not locked into them at the moment but they are the cheapest for me, but will keep looking.

Still in the same predicament with Feb's readings & my credit is now incorrect. They are simply the worst I have dealt with, going to complain to the ombudsman. Even when they finally do answer emails, they still don't do what you requested. Just so frustrating how they get away with this. If anyone from Scottish Power is on this forum feel free to answer, it would probably be the quickest I've had.

  • They must still have a problem as I posted my readings online on 15th March, no bill yet 10 days later. I've emailed them - no repsonse, have now requested a callback.
I'm interested in the bill as I'm hoping my direct debit might reduce....!!!

Surely if SP can't produce bills then they must have a VAT problem with HMRC. Maybe this is just a scam to hold onto the VAT money that we have all paid!
