Yeah I have, I bought some of the Borax Substitute to try figuring I'd find some real stuff on the internet. Only used it as a laundry booster so far, and must have used too much as it faded my dark blue clothes a little bit (not a lot, but noticeably). Haven't try it as a drain cleaner yet.
I bought 12x400g packs of borax from Dri Pak which arrived today, so I'll have enough for awhile anyway! I like the borax for the boron, especially for bedsheets and pillows. You can always get it from building supply companies, and there are a few internet suppliers who are still selling it but I don't really want to highlight them if you understand.
Yea of course. I ordered some from Dri-Pak the other day, if you click on the Borax option with no picture that is real Borax as opposed to substitute. I think they are able to sell it as it was made before the cutoff date, i just think they're not allowed to make anymore. :T0 -
anyone know where I can get borox for household cleaning thanks0

What you're looking for is borax or borax substitute. It can generally be found most easily in hardware stores as I don't think I've seen it in any of my local supermarkets.0

Borax is no longer available because change in EU legislation over packaging
it now needs to come in a childproof container, and its not cost efffective
look for the same package, in the same shops, ie Boots etc
called boarx substitute
rightly said up there ^^^^ called Sodium Sesquicarbonate
i buy it in larger quantities, and the manager at Dri pak told me about the change in packaging laws, so i am assuming its true0 -
I buy my borax substitute (together with bicarb, vinegar and epsom salts) in bulk on line from summer naturals0
