where to find BORAX

Borax was used as a very effective cleaning product for baths etc. However I can't seem to get it anywhere.
Tips please

Am I alone and at risk of being drummed out of Ol'Stlye for my belief that Borax is not all its cracked up to be?

I used to routinely add it to my laundry and then stopped (waiting for my sis to heft the next batch over from the states) and I couldn't tell the difference. It brought the shine up on me taps 'n' tiles but then lots of things do that and they're cheaper and more readily available than Borax. I no longer buy it and I don't miss it.

I buy mine in Boots (it's Boots own brand) and it's near their washing powder section.

No, you're not on your own MATH, I think soda crystals are just as good and I can really see a difference in the washing, I use it with Daz and get proper Daz whites now. They work on tiles to, and it's vinegar for the taps.

Borax is supposed to be very good for keeping spiders away.

i GET MINE AT BOOTS AND HAVE BEEN USING IT IN THE HOME MADE LAUNDRY POWDER RECIPE FROM THIS SITE (whoops sorry just realised I was shouting!)
I am not sure that it works out much cheaper than other washing powder alternatives so might just try mixing soda crystals with washing powder instead!

I absolutely, totally and utterly HATE spiders. They give me the heebie-jeebies AND the screaming ab-dabs lol

Apparently you just put borax in trays by entry points and it keeps them out as they don't like it. Careful though, as I have a vague idea it's not great for plants and other pets.
