  • I wouldn't say nightmare, but yes it is very disgusting and should never happen. Have you contacted the seller about it?

No I didn't because I find it useless. I will keep the shoes because they are good and exactly as described but the seller needs to pay attention where her toddler run when he needs toilet !!
  • Why would you have to phone to escalate it? You can escalate a case online after so many days.

Because I was unable to select the correct reason for opening the case due to having already sent the item [apparently] - so the eBay rep opened it for a different reason. All I know, is that I finally got my £100 back.

I'd contact them to let them know they need to pay attention. Contacting them doesn't have to be for the seller to do anything more regarding your case, just as a way to let them know. I mean, they're not going to know that happened otherwise to know they need to pay more attention. If they don't know the same could happen again (although hopefully it was a one off case).

Ah right, odd. Well it's good to hear you got your money back.

You might not have found the questions to be important but unfortunately people will ask questions and like more information before providing advice.

If you buy 25 items a day. And it takes maybe 5 mins of reading and contemplating on the one item you buy (excluding the other items that you wont be bidding on that are the same) thats 5 mins times 25 which is 125 mins which is just over 2 hours. Now that is just on the items you buy, no research, no listing etc. Are you saying that you spend 2 hours a day just reading thoroughly the items you win? I call almighty rubbish on that. And that's me being polite. Truthfully, I can tell you're not daft (most natives have trouble with the English language and this is your third) but I dont think you are giving the time to each listing and that is why you are having trouble (aside from the poop). It could be the child or the husband distracting you but its clear from the feed back on here and Ebay that the error is your end.

I don't open a case for every item not as described because sometimes I must ship the container ASAP and it should have no less than an X amount of items.

So i ship the item even if it's not what I've bidded on but I expect that my profit on that specific item will be very low or sometimes No profit at all.

Please note that I don't take this procedure before contacting the seller and explaining the problem, when i make sure he will not reply or was very rude at replying to my messages, I feel obliged to keep the item and ship it rather than waiting 10 days for the problem to be sorted.

So, you receive something you didn't bid on or you deem SNAD. But rather than send it back, as you must fill your (drop-shipping) container, you let the seller know it's wrong (and presumably that you won't be returning it) and depending on their response, you leave a neg or a neutral.

Or did I completely misunderstand that (not) very clear highlighted piece?

The debate on here will go on and on, but ultimately you have had your card marked on ebay. For that, I am very glad indeed.
  • Stalker!

Fwiw that is a quote from another donut on this board. Quoted because of it's bad grammar and irony.......;)

  • Don't worry about Janie, she's stalking me, another who doesn't understand INR and SNAD on Paypal and doesn't like the advice on a thread (not even their thread lol).

Thankfully most of her posts get removed.

    1) I rather think you're stalking me, not vice versa.
    2) I understand INR and SNAD perfectly, thank you. However, no-one was actually talking about PayPal in the first place, so this comment is unjustified.
    3) Not sure what 'advice' you are referring to here. I didn't see you actually offer the OP any useful advice, more like you dived in, started an argument you couldn't follow through and then started talking about PayPal when nobody else was. lol.
    4) Actually, I think every post I've ever written is still there, apart from ones on full threads that have been pulled.

Like I've said elsewhere, run along and find someone else to bully.

I said I wouldn't leave feedback right away. I never said I wouldn't leave negative feedback afterwards.

This situation could go in various ways. You open a case and ask to return it as not as described.

    Seller either:
    A. Ignores case
    B. Accepts a return
    C. Says no to a return but accepts after you explain politely that that is how the system works
    D. Refuses completely to accept a return and causes you to escalate the case
    E. D but with abusive/threatening private messages.

There might be other slight variations but you get my point. One message - in which the seller does actually say sorry however much he may not mean it - does not mean you should automatically give a negative. Best to open a case to resolve it but the situation could go any number of ways.

What if after explaining more/again he says I'm so sorry, I'll accept a return and I'll pay return costs too. I'll send you a refund now, just get the item back to me as soon as you can. Well, he'd be very unlikely to say anything even close to that having already received a negative but if they did still say that (perhaps before seeing the neg) you'd probably feel really bad as they've done their best to resolve it.

Even if it didn't turn out right I rarely give negatives so I'd be perfectly fine to give them a negative. The OP on the otherhand is not. Agreed they should give one if it turns out bad but they should think carefully before giving one otherwise and certainly not just jump straight in with a neg.

    Thanks :p

So you're agreeing with us now? Even with the previous numbers, there are people who have been on ebay for many years, had many many transactions and they don't even have 10% of the negs the OP does. Sure, there's only a small number of people on here but if no one else is giving so many negs and the OP is it suggests that perhaps the Op is giving too many and ebay clearly think so.

I'm not sure. I'm going to read some of the posts again because some of them seem to conflict, numbers-wise.

Ok, haven't read all the thread yet but going back, I've gleaned this:

OP buys 'at least 10 items a day, sometimes more than 25' - we're talking about time period of a year it seems.
So, estimating conservatively, let's call it 300 (days) x 15(items a day) = 4500 items bought in the year.
14.9% of OP's f/b has been stated to be neg or neutrals. Around 652 neg or neutral f/bs. using the estimated figures.
But.." i guess it is around %30 because he said it must not exceed the 1/3 of the overall feedback left#".
    So, it's 14.9% neg/neutrals or 30%+?
I'm confused. I think there were more numbers/figures involved but moi brain is getting toired now!!

Sorry but I can't find the logic in your 'logic'! Again - lots of presumptions.
And 'just a suggestion' - asking OP if she's informed HMRC etc. etc.?!
Nah sorry, sounds like you're suspicious (for some bizrre reason) of fraud on OP's part and as she has also pointed out, such 'ideas' are nothing to do with the thread (and not very friendly ;))!! :rotfl::rotfl:
