Hi, I parked in Moorgate Retail Park carpark on Saturday 26/4 and received a parking charge on my windscreen whilst I was in Home Bargains shopping stating I had left the site!. I have a receipt for goods I bought which is timed inside the hours recorded on the ticket. Should I just send a basic letter explaining I was on site shopping with a copy of my receipt? many thanks in advance.0

Don't admit who was driving and don't respond to a windscreen ticket. This is covered in the NEWBIES thread at the top of this forum (the current threads from today). There's a template appeal to send and you could add a point #4 to it about 'the driver' (third person!) not going offsite and here is a copy of 'their' receipt' - but you don't even do anything until you get the first letter if you are the registered keeper.
Please start again at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163
Please read the top thread and learn how/when to appeal (the registered keeper appeals but only when they receive the first letter - it's explained in the sticky thread as to WHY). We have 100% record of winning appeals at POPLA stage, for over a year now.
Welcome to the forum! But no replies here please - this is someone else's thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Having worked at the call centre for UKPC, the only thing I can advise you to do is keeping chasing up the appeal. I can't count the number of times UKPC pretended to have never received the appeal (even with recorded delivery!), or pretended to have sent you response letters to appeals, when really they did not - so that your charge climbs higher and you have to pay the full amount!!!
Also, word of advice - the website is very dodgy! Many people said they submitted an appeal to the website, only for it not to have properly submitted and so an appeal was never recorded! Make sure you ring them after to check they received it, ring them every week to find out the progress of your appeal. Do NOT rely on UKPC to fairly and honestly inform you. They do whatever they can to make you pay a higher rate and you can't prove anything with them.0 -

Except take you to court which is the only place anyone can be MADE to pay.
Appeal(to get a POPLA code)->POPLA(win or mess up)->ignore.
seems to be the most effective use of time0 -
Hi all
I am very confused I got a parking ticket on 3rd of March sent an appeal straight away As signs for parking were not visible the sign was on the other side of the building!!
Anyway I got no response to my appeal until yesterday when I opened a letter frm debt collecters plus to say I now owe 160 as I ignored the first two letters from Ukpc .
How do I prove I haven't received any letters ??
What do I do next??:T0 -
You need to stop jumping onto other peoples threads.
It's rude and can be confusing to people trying to understand what post is for what person.
Start your own thread!The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
