The cheat apologists are proving James Dyer's point.0

Oh for goodness sake, it's imply not infer.
If you are going to argue at least get the word right.
If a speaker or writer implies something, they are suggesting it in an indirect way rather than making an explicit statement.
When someone infers something, they reach a conclusion or decide that something is true on the basis of the evidence available.
So he implied you were a cheat and you inferred from his comment that he thought you were a cheat.
And go ahead call me names like "grammar police" I don't care. English is a beautiful and complex language and deserves to be defended where she is writ...

It would make more sense if he allowed comments - So we could get into some kind of discussion like this. It had made me think in regards to Aunt Bessie's and Cushelle - If they have Ts & Cs why do they not see them threw? I know of many competitions that seem to state must provide proof of purchase but they never ask for it.
If they were that bothered surely they would have unique codes like lots of other competitions to prevent code shares or am I missing the point.Ask.. Believe.. Receive..

Thank you, thank you...
I would just like to mention the Oxford English Dictionary, without whom my semantic quibbles would lack so much in the way of accuracy.
ps did somebody really win 40 koalas?Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

I did not even win one :-(
Then again I had not entered the comp so my chance of a win was very slim indeed.0
