I had sent a messaged to 'James Dyer' on FB ....this is his reply.
James Dyer
Ruth , I would define a professional comper as somebody who uses various methods to give themselves an advantage over others when entering competitions . I have no problem whatsoever with anyone who enters competitions as a hobby, some people collect stamps , fish etc etc , when they are cheating it is a different matter . My main aim is to show that underhand tactics are being allowed by reputable sites such as MSE, a site that claims to be fair and impartial? They allow people to swap codes for items when purchases are asked for in the rules , they promote adding fake friends onto Facebook and Twitter to give yourself advantages
with referral links, they allow people to ask for votes from strangers ,they allow answers from crossword magazines to be shared among thousands , costing firms untold money . We have the Chicken debacle with Tesco Direct to show MSE in another light as one example. And many more I will not discuss or print until I get the ok from my legal team. My aim is not to bring any comper down personally, I have bigger fish to fry and also my own conscious would not allow that .I am purely going to show that certain sites are not as squeaky clean as they like to portray themselves as and this is a small part in a bigger story. My identity and 'hiding' is something I feel I need to protect with some of the work I do, I could put any picture up of anybody but why do I need to? if you don't want to take me seriously then fine , I did not ask you too in the first place and will feel no effect from it at all . I wish you all the best in all you do , and hope something nice comes your way very soon from your hobby . All the very best.GOOD LUCK TO ALL FOR THE BEST YEAR YOU'VE EVER HAD....:lovethoug

Had a search for Tesco Direct but couldn't find anything. Any idea what James is referring to ?0 -
Re, the response: There's a big problem with conflating MSE with MSE forums.
As it says in the disclaimer at the bottom of the page:
"Always remember anyone can post on the MSE forums, so it can be very different from our opinion."
If whatever wrongdoings can be shown to be from MSE proper, then that is one issue.
To say that something is being promoted on the forums so therefore it is being promoted by MSE would be incorrect.

While I can understand his point about sharing FB referral links, I fail to see how anyone has an advantage from having comping friends on twitter?
Personally, the only advantage I've had from having a handful of comping friends on twitter is the motivation and good vibes I feel when I see them winning.....confused.com.
Is anyone able to suggest how he has reached this conclusion about twitter?£630/ £20140
