The style of writing, eg the gaps between the commas and full stops remind me of an old member of MSE, although i didn't think he could get internet connected where he was supposed to of gone.
Will be interesting to see the outcome of his findings

yeah, and its the same as a mse user who appeared just after the one you mention 'departed'
dont think its that person though :)

I'm wondering if it is the time that someone won a chicken coop by using a poem they had plagiarised off the internet? Read more about chickengate here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3444143

    WOW

That's a post and a half. It's all a bit confusing but cheating certainly took place and probably the worst excuse ever " (I entered using someone else's poem because I didn't think I would win !). Interesting to see which posters tried to defend the poem thief. Thanks for the link kisto.

Or has it been removed ?

There was a post on this thread yesterday threatening to contact Facebook to have the page removed. She has since deleted her post.

Cue: a flurry of MSE compers C&P'ing the codes into their hard drives... :rotfl:

They are available on many sites.

It is more expensive to run a unique code competition and you get problems with unreadable codes etc but all they need to do to make a barcode one much more "secure" is to make it a requirement to have a receipt for the product timed and dated before time of entry = job done with almost no effort.

I'm bamboozled as to how posting magazine answers on here is "harming British jobs"? Because the magazines don't get bought, I guess... But... Would those who enter via here (I actually buy the mags because I enjoy doing the puzzles) otherwise buy the mag? Probably not... Ironically, the mags get more exposure through this forum, which is good for them...

Tbh, It is coming across as more of a dig at MSE. There are a few competition websites that have the same comps and answers posted but he's not mentioning them. If you are going to prove a point then ALL comp sites would be mentioned but picking on 1, ummm smells like sour grapes to me. :p
Think it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol

He has a point about cheats, however his delivery could do with some work.

I think of people posting referral links on here as a form of cheating (UNLESS it's made apparent that it IS a referral link) as you're tricking people into giving you extra entries and from a huge number of people. It's like that Compers Haven, I notice they've started listing APP comps, but just the referral ones and using their link to gain extra entries, yet I don't see any mention of them doing this on their website - so I find it underhand. Obviously others may have a different view but I dislike sneakiness.
